Skipped tabata squats and lifted..

Snatch Sotts: 65x5, 85x5, 95x5
3 Position Snatch (Hip, Knee, Full): 95, 105, 115, 125
Snatch 1RM: Started struggling at 155 due to 4 weeks of zero lifting
Back Squat 1RM: 335

Lifts were all shite since I really haven’t lifted heavy since mid April; battling knee and left shoulder issues.

Tomorrow will be fun:
5RFT
25 wall balls
25 pull-ups

6x2 deadlifts

WOD: 2 rounds for time (8:55)

Yesterday was a fun little edit on Annie..

Sub doubles for Handstand walks.
50' HSW
50 sit-ups
40' HSW
40 sit-ups
...so on, so forth

Did pretty well, as the Handstand walks are coming together nicely.

Alum, posted my new 1RM Snatch, b/c I aint scared. I've been working on this lift for about 2 years now. Worked off the blocks for the longest time to get faster. I think it's starting to pay off.

Nice. My last heavy lift was 185 a few months ago. These nagging issues are killing my lifts.

I'm hoping to get 185 before the year is out. I only lift 2-3 times a week. So, in between working on CnJ or just Jerk work, it may be a week and a half in between snatch work.

Today was my off day anyway . . . but might have skipped anyway

50 DB strict press
100 WBs
Every minute break for 5 t2b.

I would still be trying to move at the 20:00 cap.

That transition time is what will kill you in the end.

Bailing

Sucks that this should be a tough 5 rep set.

Yeah.

Very familiar with it. Matt is based out of RSCF in BR and is a good friend.

I’ll see him tomorrow if you have any specific questions for him.

kind of just wondering if the program is worth the 150 a month pricing.

I really like it is bodybuilding/power lifting focused but also has the metcons. Honestly I have an issue when it comes to cardio/metcons. I have been better about it the last 2 weeks but i have avoided it because its weakness. In the past following my own programming and bodybuilding coaches I have hired I have failed to get completely shredded because I either get tired of dieting so strict or I get so tired of basic LISS cardio and I end up quiting. I prefer metcon and strongman type cardio

Knowing that, do you think that type of programming with metcons forced on me would be a good fit? Like you I really like the bodybuilding and powerlifting side of things, but honestly I suck at olympic lifts and suck at anything that requires any endurance. My thinking is I need to learn to love the suck and work on my weaknesses.

lmk what your opinion is on the program please.

That workout sucked.

Shoulders have been dead for a while and those pull-ups took their toll.

Capped at 16 min with 35 reps left.

I can post some sample Invictus Oly programming if you want to work on that. It’s long, taking anywhere from 60-90 min 3x per week, though.

I’ll ask Matt for a little snippet of the Brute programming for you to try out. It’s different.

If you wanted to incorporate some cardio, try something Stoppani recommended; between your lifting sets, add in something like bench/box step-ups for 30-45 secs. Even though it’s simple, it gets the heart rate up quickly.

I decided last night I am just going to commit and sign up for brute body. I need some type of coaching I think right now so i do not go in a rut after my vacation.
