Did it take you a long arse time to build up to that kind of volume? Are you going to work back into it since you've been busy for a while?

I struggle with not phsyically falling apart at CF 4x/wk. Hoping that as my weight comes down I can get to 5 days..

It takes a while.

I’ll only be doing 9 working sets in the AM workouts so I should only be lifting for 45 min max.

Supplementation is key, though. No keto shite!

I generally feel terrible after the third straight day. I am still struggling to find the best way to handle this for my body, but life gets in the way. Now that Baseball is over, I'll have more time to work on this.

Today sucked...

Did the class at noon which was just tempo squats with a pause at the bottom 5x5 and worked up to 225.

Decided to hit chest afterwards and I have some tricep tendinitis that prevented me from going over 155, which is half of my 1RM.

No idea what set that shite off since it’s been a a few weeks since a chest/tricep workout.

I am probably taking today off. I helped someone move yesterday, spent about 8 hours moving shite up and down stairs and in the heat. Body's pretty beat up.

you're old.... shite happens to all of us.

Just jabbing at you, you do better than the majority of the people young or old. Keep rocking it.

Nah. It’s why I’m going back to lifting regularly.

CrossFit is great on a lot of stuff, but it lacks a good bit on overall lifting training. I was hoping to work up to 255 for 4-6 reps but it was a huge no-go.

I’ll probably hit a typical bicep routine tomorrow on my lifting workout.

true. I have also never seen a wod that incorporates bench press or incline press. We havea area in the back where you can do whatever you want, though.

I’m talking typical bodybuilding training. Nearly all of CF gyms don’t do that.

Thats one thing I really appreciate about my gym. We normally bench once a week, and will throw curls/etc. into our accessory work. Still not what a body builder would be looking for, but I really enjoy the variety.

Almost 1 year in and have never seen true bench press. We don't even have enough benches to do it. Closest thing was med-ball bench with dumbbells.

We had some bench last Friday, and it was sets of 5-7. It was a good change of pace, that's only the 2nd time I've ever seen bench on a regular class WOD in the 8 months I've been going.
