You need better ankle and hip mobility.

The workout I had tonight I posted above, did 3 scaled rope climbs, essentially leaning out at an angle climbing down then back up and they smoked my biceps. Overall it was a great break from the hard cardio and great power/pump workout. Definitely more in the bodybuilding/strength realm than CrossFit.

Fun one today:

A.)Power Snatch- 15 min to find a heavy set of 2 reps (you can drop and reset between reps!)

B.)Partner Wod- 15 min AMRAP
Partner 1- 250 meter Row
Partner 2- AMRAP Sumo Deadlift highpull (95/65)
Partners alternate every 250m row- score is total number of SDHP!

C.)5 Rounds
20 Russian Twist each side
20 hanging knee raises

Day 3 didn’t really test me in the conditioning piece

But my god the arm pump I got was unreal and it destroyed my traps and shoulders

Tonight for my "rest" day I just did a 30min core emom of

5 strict t2b
10 ghd situps
10 hollow rocks
30s arch body hold
10 cals air bike
1 min rest


Then some calves

Planning on going to the class tonight for my second experience w/ CrossFit. My hamstrings are so fricking sore and tight right now from Tuesday.


Strength
4x3 split jerks from rack @80% of clean and jerk

Conditioning
4 - 3 min AMRAPs (3 min rest between rounds)
15/12 cal row
10 burpees
5 handstand push-ups


I’ve never done a split jerk or handstand push-ups before

Maybe try scaling with ab mats. Extreme example

You will not be able to do the handstand push-ups, that I can almost guarantee. Split jerk is nothing but a push press moving your feet and catching the bar lower

Yea I'm pretty strong for my bodyweight on press. Almost a bodyweight barbell press and I can do less than 5 headstand pushups and only one real strict handstand pushup on the parallettes

Fresh, I can pump out 20+ unbroken Strict HSPUs. I don’t practice kipping too much because it makes my neck hurt.

7 or so UB on strict parallette HSPUs.

I used to be able to hit well over my body weight (225 single) on strict press. Now, I’m right around a BW single (195) due to lack of lifting (neck pinched nerve) this year.

A.) BENCH PRESS 3X3 ACROSS
B.) 4 SETS FOR QUALITY:

-12 GLUTE BRIDGE PRONATED FLOOR PRESS
-12 WALL PRESS DEAD BUGS
-12/S SIDE PLANK ROTATIONS



Worked up to 175 bench. My 1rm used to be 185... So I'm getting stronger

I landed smack on my nose my first set of HSPU. I think I got to 4 or 5 before crashing down on my face. My hands slipped from being too sweaty.

I can do a few hand stand push ups. But, I have freakishly short arms and a massive head. So, if you let me scale by putting some pad on the floor, and can crank those suckers until my face turns beet red
