Today..

A) Front Squat 3x5 across
B) 12 min partner amrap: 10 cal row, 5 BBJOs (20” Box), 12 jumping lunges

A) 245x5, 245x5, 255x5
B) 8+18

I figured I could add another 10lbs on the last set. Looking back 255x5 for all 3 sets should have been my goal.


B part was you go a full round, then partner goes a full round, etc. I was slow on the BBJOs, but was fast on the row (22 secs for 10 cals) and the jumping lunges. The jumping lunges set the quads on fire every round.

I worked up to 175 on FS

Part B I did
-10 Cal row
-5 high jump burpees
-5 lunges

Did 8 rounds

Part B got me all fricked up. I went up some stairs 2 hours later and they were much harder to climb than they should be. Hours later I found myself with a headache and sleepy so I took a nap,which I never do. That gassed me good

Front squats

4 sets of 6 at 185lbs with 3 min rest between sets, last set I could only do 4

Then 3 sets of 18 reverse lunges with 40lbs in each hand 2 mins between sets

My then my legs were already smoked and i could fell the lactic acid buildup

So what did I decide to do

21-15-9
Assault bike cals
Deadlifts at 225
Pushups



Then 8 round EMOM
30 double unders and 5 kettle bell swings at 53lbs

All outside in the 90 degree heat

My legs are already sore an hour later

Rx’d the weight but didn’t do all the DUs

7:30ish

Never broke on the push press, but the shite got heavy in the last round.

3 mile slow run

My legs are still sore from Monday

First workout of my almost 3 week vacation

Will basically just run, do body weight exercises and dumbbell WODs while I’m gone.

Today’s daily workout was strictly a core burner so I lifted and did the Oly class.

Oly:
Work up to a heavy single C&J
..then..
Jerks: 5x3

I haven’t lifted consistently since last year, but I worked up to an easy 200 and then dialed it back to 165x3x5 on the Jerks.

Switch every 3 minutes. Each picks up where the other leaves off.

Score is Rounds completed in the 5/5/5 and total cals.
