I’m with you. Can’t do a muscle up so I’m going to scale and if I scale one thing I might as well scale the rest of it. I will jump over the bar for as long as possible tho. I’m determined to do that. Might try to get a muscle up tomorrow just messing around but my right shoulder is kinda messed up so that might be a one time try depending on how it feels.

Well, that was brutal for me. I'm a little disappointed I didn't finish but I'm not too sure I actually could do much better. I was just so fricking exhausted and burpees are the bane of my existence

Thats what I'm doing. I had bar MUs, but stopped trying and lost it. Hoping the extra adrenaline will help me get a few today. If I don't get any, I'll do scaled Monday. Watching slow mo MU videos today for a reminder that I'm too tall/weak for strict MUs, and that I need to get my long arse legs up high for extra boost

Every time I try it, it just ends up being an ugly kipping pull up. I am missing some aspect of it and feel like I will never get it.

My gym offered a gymnastics class and they finally got me over the bar on the last class. I had been strong enough for a while but it takes a lot of technique.
We started by standing/jumping off of a box to get the rock down and to feel comfortable getting up and over. Then moved to a couple stacked plates with a bigger jump, then a short bar jumping off the ground (only time my height helped in the process
). It was a long process, with a lot of shoulder work leading up to it. This obviously won't help today, but something to consider moving forward. I'm sure your coaches have some great ideas too.

Bottom line is, I don't want to do 65lb snatch. May do Rx just because of it.

I felt like I had no business trying to Rx that. I was seeing stars after every snatch and burpee on the 3rd round.
If you want to go for it, go ahead. You don't have to Rx the entire thing, just switch it up to whatever you can do on the 2nd portion.

Decided to do RX to get more snatch work in. Kinda took my time(read-laid down in agony a couple times), so it took me 11 minutes to get the 66. I didn't try a muscle up, as I sorta tried in warmup and didn't come close.

I didn't lay down but I had a coach judging me and he basically, in a much more appropriate way, kept calling me a pussy because I kept stopping to catch my breath and that kinda kept me pushing because I was ready to throw in the towel by the end of Rd 2

I’m going to try both Rx and scaled. Because of limited shoulder mobility, the most I’ve ever snatched is 115. If I can make it under 9 mins in the first part, I’m going to try to get that first BMU.
Scaled will give me a chance to work through some butterfly pull-ups, which I finally got about a month ago.

I did scaled yesterday. 91 reps. I freaking loathe burpees. Whoever thought those would be a good idea needs to be bitch slapped (even tho I realize how effective they are). Muscle snatched the 65 lb with ease. If I do it again, and I highly doubt I will because of how much I hate burpees, and I don’t act like a puss and take long breaks I think I can finish the whole thing right at the 12 min mark.
