yes, but I also like to see where I stack up in my age group. I hope to be in the top 3rd at the end of the 5 weeks. I will not be this year as I am in terrible condition. I pray for a rower, wallball combo early

You must be a taller strong guy? I can grind out wallballs but rowing takes me forever compared to the tall dudes.

not taller, I am 5'10. But I am strongish. I also like to row and have spent enough time in the saddle to feel pretty good when I hop off.

any kind of mostly cardio WODs, like burpees, row, AB, wallballs, running, etc, I'll excel at and most likely be in the top half, even light lifts for reps

I'll suck at heavy lifts

We're doing some kind of "watch party" on Thursday nights. Our coach is pulling in da 60" DLP Rear Projection TV he got for free!! I hope that lamp is still good.
This will be the first year my gym handles the open with a bit of promotion. BYOB, and somebody is bringin some pulled pork sliders.

Any how...IN!! And excited to see how much I suck!

Geaux, too. Today we're doing a light WOD then a ROMWOD, and people are welcome to stay/come and they're setting up a projector to watch the announcement. I want to stay but if they don't announce it pretty quickly I want to GTFO and go home.

or if we choose RX, are we supposed to do all RX?

1 Rx Rep scores higher then any amount of scaled reps. So what most people do is Rx as long as they can, input your score to reflect that but continue the workout in a scaled manner.

Of course you could do it all scaled if you want though

A friend of mine is a L1 coach at another CF box and he said he usually recommends people try the WODs RX'd to submit, and then to get a workout in do the scaled.. because RX gets a lot more points than scaled. I'm just going to do scaled though, too many movements in most RX that I just can't do.

My wife is legitimately right about 95% of the time when we disagree.. about everything. All the time. And I don't mean in the hokey "oh my wife's always right so I don't get in trouble" kind of way .. I mean legitimate she is factually correct about most things. I disagree about something and Google it, and find out I'm wrong at least 1-2 times per week.. So I understand feeling inferior

Mine wants to go at 5AM too. So far, I've won that battle and go in the evening. But when GCF moves to a new location and we'll have to get on I12 after 5PM to get there... that might change.
