I do bench twice a week and bicep curls in my accessory work,
I'd like to find time to do this. I may just start skipping classes that don't make sense to me(Like today) and do my own thing, including bench, on those days.

I like to follow the gyms programming 5 days a week. So, I'll make additional time for something like a 5-3-1 or Hatch stuff.

Problem is, there's not additional time.

Plenty of CF movements utilize biceps so I don't know that curls would ever be implemented as part of CF WODs, but it is very odd to me that bench is so rarely done.

Mt gym's programming over all is poo. some of the wods are good, but overall, not so much. There's no strength progression at all, just random. The majority of the clientele are "soccer moms" that like cardio, so they program to accommodate. I do my own programming/comp train 90% of the time.

There are better movements for functional fitness than bench press. It would be akin to putting calf raises in a wod.

Unlike Alx, I love todays workout at our place.

For time: 150 KBS, every time you break you run 200M.

I love these kinds of workouts.

Pretty much the worst one ever. Well, other than just running a mile.

There are overhead presses in A with those super set things. If there was ever one for me to skip with by bilaterally injected shoulders, it's this one.

Thought that was a universal term, might be just our gym.

Just something after the regular class workout that is typically option. I use it just as something I do after my main focus work for the day

We usually have a part C that is focused on core. Today is those torture machines you extend on. Thursday is ROMWOD.

Anyone else think that 18.3 might be 15.3 (7 RMU, 50 wall balls, 100 double unders?)

I would like it to be this, but I also think every week may have a "new to the open" movement

you can blame too many CF gyms on the lack of weight lifting programming.

You got to be a big gym with a big clientele to support two different subsets of folks.

The subset that pays the bills are the ones that come in three times a week..dont utilize a ton of staff time or facility space and never quit paying the bill, and the programming will cater to that particular person.

I am damn near 50, I dont want and would not participate in workouts that did not have a decent amount of cardio. I also would not pay for a membership at a CF affiliate if I wasnt going to participate in the group classes and go along with the programming. I would just go to another gym for half the price and do my own thing.

Exactly.

Edited to add, if there ends up being too many like today, I may consider looking at CFA.

None of the gyms where I live have the set-up I need like the CFA I go to, or my wife's friends. I'm working on a home gym setup though. I just need a place to do higher wall balls and Ring MU. Also, I'm really not too worried about it right now because I'm going back in to active duty AF and everything is just in waiting mode until I leave.

Not interested in even scaling this one.

100 double-unders
12 ring muscle-ups
100 double-unders
20 dumbbell snatches
100 double-unders
12 bar muscle-ups
Time cap: 14 minutes

Men perform 115-lb. OHS, 50-lb. DB snatches
