Holy frick 18.2 just crushed my soul. I ran out of time. 9+11. I literally started blacking out between rounds, seeing stars and losing vision, and whole body shaking.

Well done. I see a lot of folks kinda slough off....that is fine, everyone is there for their own reasons. It is nice to see the effort. Blacking out may be further than I am willing to go btw.

feel unsatisfied though. I feel like I can do better. I haven't gotten more than 5 hours of sleep the last 2 nights and haven't been hydrating enough. I want to redo it Monday after some good sleep and make sure I get a really good lunch and pre workout snack in, and drink plenty of water.

You will probably feel tons better.

I attacked it this morning with four cups of coffee and a dream

8:08 and 245 RX.

I got 4 no reps on the burpees and could not get comfortable with the dumbells. I don't repeat open wods, but I could have definitely gone sub 8 and more than likely cleaned 255.

I definitely went in attacking. I want to give these all I've got on these open WODs. Some things I think I can change that will help.. I came out of the gate blasting through reps. I could turn that down just a notch and pace a little better. I noticed at the end that squats were much more manageable if I keep the dumbbells on my traps instead of a true front rack. I started out jumping over the bar when I'm allowed to step. I did stepup burpees the whole time but I think I should start out jumping up into a wide split at first and scale down to stepping when I'm tired.. my quads were burnt out as hell from stepping up.

I wanted to get through 4 rounds in 1 min and it ended up being 1:20 or so and that included me stupidly doing 4 reps on the squats in R2.

I think I can transition faster, not frick up and get close to the min goal, and then try to finish 5, 6, & 7 by the 3 min mark which is halfway through the reps.

It’s doable, we had three guys finish between 545 and 639.

Our gym about the same. 5:53 and a 301 clean is our best single athlete so far. We have one guy that will demolish the first part, but had surgery about 10 months ago and his heavy cleans aren't back yet.

I can’t feel my legs this morning. I can see them but I just can’t feel anything. Walking should be fun today.

That was Justin.

He started at GCF but now trains at home. He occasionally drops in. Very good dude.

8:09 RX on 18.2, 255# clean on 18.2 (a) which was a PR for me.

Prob coulda pushed the burpees a little faster but it was a late night last night, lol!

I did the whole wod in my lifters as well, they made that little hop over the barbell a little worse each time but helped a good bit on the DB squat clean. I also held the head of the db on my traps.

11:38 and 185.

Would not have made it if I didn't have a big group yelling for me to finish. Had them take 20 off the bar since I only had time for one try and couldn't breathe . Got it easy so I wish I would have kept it on, but theres no guarantee I would make it to the clean if I tried again so the score will stay put

Have to be at Rodeo today, so if any of you see a tall guy in a cowboy hat waddling like a duck feel free to come say hello.

People who can’t move today need to hit legs more often.

I could use more leg work. Most of the leg work we doing isn’t for high volume. My bottom half stiffness today is sort of like Murph. It went away after a couple hours.

8:59 Rx and 207lb. Good lawd. I wanted to put 225 to start but my coach talked me down. I would not have been able to get out of the 225 hole. I planned all along to do this one twice and will be wearing lifters the second time.

Bra, I had 235 in the hole and couldn’t stand up. I don’t power clean much and squat clean was out of the equation.

9:48 and 245#

I haven’t been working out much lately and my cardio has absolutely fell apart in both workouts. I died in the 8-9-10 round on burpees, the squats aren’t a problem.

I planned to get at least 3 lifts but only got 2. I started at 225# and jumped to 245. Probably had 255 or so in me.

My altime PR on clean was last year at 285#

Which open workout do you guys think with be a repeat this year? I hope the C2B and snatch workout.......but it’ll probably be thrusters and dubs.

Has he ever repeated a wod but made a tweak to it? I’ve been doubling down each week expecting dB thrusters and could see 17.5 being repeated with dB thrusters if so.

I also think if that’s the case we will see a new movement introduced each week.

He repeats one every year. It’s to help you gauge your progress or lack there of.
