Just started my prep by running a few miles on Friday.

A little more than 1 month out on 4/11.

In. Ran it in 41:03 last year. I'll be happy to get out of there with another top 500 poster this year, which is usually around 45:00.

How crowded is it? We will be in town the weekend before for a wedding so I’m not so sure we’ll make it two weekends in a row.

I’m a 50-52 minute 10K runner and would like to dip into the 40s, if that helps. I’ll be three weeks off a half marathon so I should be in fighting shape.

There are around 20,000 participants most years.

I wonder if the Wuhan Kung Flu will hurt the turnout this year?

If Compton Cantrell doesn't cancel it outright.

I’m seriously wondering if it will be cancelled now, with the Mayor cancelling the parades this weekend, etc... guess we’ll see how the next month goes.

Kind of expecting a cancelation now. Boston likely cancelled too

So much for our repeat

..with every large event being cancelled, I give this a 50/50 chance of happening this year.

20k+ people in a 1/4 mile stretch of Poydras?

Looks like the CCC in person is cancelled; going virtual. Still mailing posters, etc. I like it. Me and thib had talked about doing something similar. I’d be interested in meeting up with (less than 250, haha) people race day morning and doing a virtual. Just curious how they’re gonna track it.

I was hoping to run sub 40, and I wonder if that would get it done with a virtual race.
