I have never run in anything under 70-75 degrees so Ill hang up and listen...

Depends on the temp and length of run. I can usually get by with shorts and a long sleeve dri-fit shirt. If I'm running longer than 6 miles, I may put on running tights under my shorts. If it's in the 40's I have gloves.
I usually never wear anything too heavy unless it's a random 30 deg and windy day.

Over 70 just shorts the shorter the better.
Under 65 short sleeve shirt and shorts.
Under 50 long sleeve shirt and shorts maybe thin gloves if windy. I’ll usually take the gloves off mid run.
Under 40 long sleeve shirt, tights, winter running gloves, headband with ear coverage.
Under 30 long sleeve shirt, tights, winter running gloves with inserts, headband with ear protection and stocking cap, wool running socks.
For me, the core and legs are never a problem in cold weather. When it’s under thirty, I take extra care of my hands, ears, and feet because those end up being the problem areas for pain due to cold.

Until it gets to be under 40 just t-shirt and shorts. If I'm feeling cold I may double up the T's....drifit stuff. Under 40 drifit T base and long sleeve shirt. Below freezing if it's a hard run, Compression shorts which keep my thighs warm T base and long sleeve. I will add thin gloves and usually take them off after 20 minutes or so. If it's below freezing and a slower run, I will wear track pants, a light jacket and a cross-country ski cap that has a mesh top to allow heat to escape. Below 25 I will add a light jacket. The worst thing I can do is overdress and then sweat and get cold and clamy.

even if its below freezing, I still only run in a t-shirt, shorts and a light running jacket
I warm up pretty quick
I will, however, run with gloves anytime its below 40ish
so my advice is to get some good gloves

50 and higher it’s still shorts and a singlet.
40-50 I may just add some gloves.
Below 40 I’ll throw a hat and light jacket on.

I've found that when I "underdress" to be comfortable, my numbers suffer. If I wear enough that I sweat some, I'm faster.
And my hands get cold. I wear good gloves.

Thank you all for the suggestions. It looks like good gloves are a must, do yall have any recommendations?

Cheap cotton work gloves you can by at home Depot are the best unless you are running in sub 25 degree weather. I have some dark brown ones like these.

Just got weather for Sunday's Houston Half
From 7 -9am = 53-55, sunrise at 7:30
Based on what I've been running in at similar temps, I'll just do normal shorts and sleeveless Brooks running shirt

Running in an Canine Biathlon obstacle course (4 miles) qNext weekend. High is supposed to be 60, however there’s lots of water obstacles.
Y’all think it’s best to go shirtless on an event like this since there’s water involved?

If you’ve got it, flaunt it. If the sun’s out, well... you know what to do.

How old are you?
Old enough not to pay $20 or more for a pair of branded gloves that are no better than cotton gloves. And cotton gloves are so cheap if I'm on a long run and get tired of carrying them, I can just chuck them.
