"yea doctors are just straight up nutritional experts"
You know that is not what I said. Additionally, I agree that many physicians are not nutrition experts but some do what they are doing. Much more so that most of the posters on this board. That is not directed at you, BTW.
Anyhow...
In the end, I agree with you on the diet. The DASH diet and its many variants are very similar to what you just described. Outside of eliminating seed oils (which should not be consumed), the rest of the diet is what you described. I don't understand the rub, honestly.

That’s certainly debatable

Any diet that recommends seed oils is fundamentally bullshite

because the dash diet makes no recommendations on macros or calories...which is where most improvements come from
you can eat 5k calories of exactly what it says on the diet plan and zero protein and you are going to be fat af
it allows for highly processed foods/oils all in the name of "good fats" and cuts red meat and things like butter for more processed things which is crap and all in the name of saturated fats
also it looks to remove salt from the diet when we know sodium in and of itself does not cause any issues with water retention and its more the fluctuation of sodium levels that causes that
it does not prioritize protein and in general is very out dated model
and i would manage to say most people here know way more than 95% of doctors when it comes to nutrition. In fact many people here go way deeper than i ever think necessary.

While Carditone may help, you can lower your blood pressure without meds or supplement without having to spend $40 per month.
Lower your insulin people. It’s free.

Would have to eat so much quantity man
Is the dash diet the best? No. But for average people it’s a great start that’s easy to follow. Not everyone is going to go from eating like a slob to a macro bro
If doctors tried to talk to average fatties like yall do with diets and such they would completely lose the patient 10 seconds in

What they’re doing is certainly working. We should just keep doing that

Counting calories and protein loses people?

Certainly if they have people a macro talk it would work. Truth is nothing matters. Fatties are fat not because they are eating the “wrong things”, they are choosing to eat too many things

The types of people willing to actually track their nutrients will never ever be fat
Fatties are either
1. Dumb as hell
2. Unwilling to do what it takes
3. Both

Then put them on glp1 and just get it over with

I still haven’t heard a good argument of why seed oils are bad?

they tend to cause lots of inflammation. They are not good.
they also arent the issue causing weight gain either
but certainly something you should try and avoid as much as possible. Quite a few negatives with them and no real upside.

Yes the over indulgence of anything is not particularly good for you. That’s not some groundbreaking concept. A grown man can have up to 18 grams of linoleic acid per day and be totally fine. Most aren’t getting that. No reason to fear monger about every damn food out there. It’s totally fine to have a mixture of oils in your diet.
Posted on 12/26/24 at 8:39 pm to Howyouluhdat
Most are getting that. And that is the point.
If you can’t read into the data pointing to this then you’re just an ignorant fool.

Nothing wrong with this

The standard American diet comprises 14 to 25 times more omega-6 fatty acids than omega-3 fatty acids, with the majority of omega-6 intake coming from LA. As LA consumption increases, the potential for OXLAM formation also increases. OXLAMs have been associated with various illnesses, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease, among others.

All this is saying is stop eating so much LA. Show me a comprehensive clinical study that shows that consuming normal levels of LA is bad for you?
Just like sugar, cigarettes, alcohol, tea, Brazil nuts, etc . Consume any of them in large amounts and it's not good for you

One of the dumber comments I’ve read in a while. One cigarette or a little alcohol is not going to kill you, obviously, but it’s certainly bad for you. 1 cigarette is worse than 0, 2 is worse than 1, etc.
