Best workout class

I have been working out at my gym for while and I am ready to jump to something a little tougher. I typically enjoy the class setting as it pushes me a little bit more and all the workouts are preset for me all I have to do is just show up and not fight for any equipment. I am shooting for lean and in shape I don't want to get huge. What do the experts recommend? Crossfit, 9rounds, orange theory, ect.

Is supposed to be pretty bad arse. Personally I haven't done it but several friends love it. I personally like CF.... I don't think CF will make you huge but you should add muscle. Really depends, which one you prefer. Try them both

Isn't this like a cardio type class. No weights, just TRX stuff and the like?
Not that there's anything wrong with that

Crossfit fits all that you want especially if you like the lifting aspect. My buddy owns a TRX gym but I couldn't get into it because I enjoy lifting. It is still a great workout though.

I loved CrossFit but my problem was when I did CrossFit in Baton Rouge for 2 months before I moved and my legs got so big I had a hard time finding pants that fit.

I’m sure all mentioned are very good but I’ll agree with Les Mills Pump. That and Attack are always more reps than I can do. Has helped with definition more than anything else I’ve done.

Based on your cf comment, do orange theory

You don’t want to get huge? Gtfo
Jk. Orange Theory focuses on cardio more than anything. Around $120/month or so. It’s a female dominant class.
I’m very critical of CrossFit. So I won’t give you my VERY biased opinion on that. Never heatd of 9rounds.

The horror is when you try to buy pants and everything looks like skinny jeans which aint my style.

All of my jeans now are Relentless/Edison Atlas.

Orangetheory actually has a very serious strength training component incorporated with HIIT. The strength training involves whole body and area specific exercises utilizing weights (dumbbells) which actually go up to 50 or 60's lbs. I believe for guys that want a heavier workout. I do the strength station first usually and do the HIIT during the second half of class. No, you're not going to get jacked, but I feel it's comparable to CF, has constant coaching during the exercises to maintain proper form, you can monitor your intensity, and I'd say it's 35-40% dudes where I attend.

Another vote for Les Mills. Body pump, body combat and attack were all great classes I used to take

No, they do have weights just not heavy. My best description is Crossfit light. I know several people that do it along with CF if they are trying to bring their endurance up even higher. I am going to check it out after the holidays.

I tried the body combat class and it was extremely easy. I did the whole workout and barely broke a sweat. I got bored more than tired. Maybe I just got a bad class.
I was taking a bag class at a krav maga gym before that and it was a really great workout, only left that gym because the location isn't convenient anymore. I'm tuning in as well because I need a new class to take that isn't boring or easy.
