I used to run in the Walden neighborhood near Kenilworth Park at night. That was 6 years ago, though.

You can run in Walden/Kenilworth/Magnolia Woods all night and see two cars. Great area.

Running the LSU lakes is safe at night. Your own neighborhood should work if you live far away enough from crime.
