Paging BigDaddy6612 who said he would help. I laughed as I just typed that out.

I don’t eat enough protein clearly. Always been a bad and picky eater.

Always suffered from insomnia but that has gotten a whole lot better since I saw a sleep doctor and did CBT-I.

Never had a lot of energy to do 4-6 days a week in the gym or exercise.

But here’s the caveat-I look fit and “healthy” even though that may not be the case.

I take Test100mg per week
Tirzepetide 5mg per week
NAD+ multiple times per week
BPC/TB for intercostal strain lately

But the foundation has always been lacking. Diet, exercise, and sleep. Like I said, sleep has gotten much better and I have more energy. I would appreciate any help given.

This is your problem. Fix it and all things will fall in line. Start with 4 days a week and do it consistently for 6 months.

Don't make excuses, make a routine.

If it doesn't work, come back and tell me that I was wrong.

Hit some solid pre workout and you will have the energy.

Do it anyway.

Plenty of days where I feel tired and don’t want to work out. Always glad I did afterwards.

I set up a little home gym in my garage with a bench, kettlebells, dumbbells and a cheap TV.

It’s a lot easier to do if you don’t have to leave the house.

You're going to have to make going to the gym a habit.

Train on the days where you don't feel like it. Train on the days where you feel like shite. Train on the days where you'd rather be anywhere other than the gym.

Stick with it, and you'll reach a point where you'll feel like shite if you skip a workout.

Set goals. Once you reach those goals, set new goals.

We can't motivate you. And self-motivation will only carry you so far. You have to have the discipline to do this. Every week at least 3 times a week for the rest of your life.

Sounds like a lack of motivation. I shite on trainers with the wealth of knowledge out there on the internet and now AI but all of that info is worthless if you can't get to the gym. OP needs someone to hold him accountable.

This. Lift what you can on those bad days. Cut back a set if need be. But you'll feel better when you leave.

As far as workouts, something is better than nothing. You're going to have to find a routine that works for you. Google some training plans as a starter, or check on many of the threads here to see what people have been doing for ideas.

In the beginning, rest days are important as your body adjusts. 4 days a week is a good plan. Starting out, I would shoot for one upper body day, one leg day, and a couple of days of cardio in between. This will give those muscle groups time to recover before the next week, but you want to stay active most days.

Monday upper body, and try to hit chest/back and arms/shoulders. Could be as simple as machines for those movements, or dumbbells. Start out light, learn the movements well, and then progress in weight or sets.

Tuesday hit a treadmill, or go for a run, or a rower machine, or swim. Something you can stick with, or alternate. Could be as easy as a 30 minute brisk walk around the neighborhood.

Thursday do legs. Squats/deadlifts/lunges can all be done with dumbbells or kettlebells if you don't have a gym membership or a barbell. And if you wanted to start out with just body weight movements that is fine too.

Friday or Saturday, go ride a spin bike on a rather easy resistance setting. This will help flush out the muscle soreness in the legs some and get your heartrate up. Again, start small. Think 15-30 minutes max at first. Progress from there.
