And change your diet.
I used to have frequent issues because I run, bike, ski, and swim a lot.
Cutting the yeast factory that is sugar (including grains) made it go away completely. It's pretty miraculous.
Research anti-fungal diets.

Resinol ointment.. you have to go the actual pharmacy but you can buy it straight up.. it’s a really good all purpose ointment for anything like that. Helps with itching/burning.chafing.

Try sitting in a bath tub as hot as you can stand it with Epsom Salt.

I’m going to try these tips. After more time, I think I may be dealing with either hemorrhoids or a fungal infection that didn’t respond to the prescription.
Any hemorrhoid treatments that worked for some of you? At least this is a far more common issue, except I’m neither fat nor pregnant, so if I have this problem, it’s a little odd.

Let me ask you this, does it only itch after you've taken a dump?
If that's not it and it's usually at night, I'd bet pinworms. I got them when I lived in Hawaii (the people/workers are dirty savages down there). PinX cleared it up quick. I remember it being absolutely excruciatingly itchy, waking me up in the middle of the night.

The good news is that my issue has finally been resolved. I started eating tree nuts (cashews and almonds) by the handful ever day. It turns out cashews have an oil that is chemically similar to that of poison ivy. After two weeks of abstaining from nuts and oatmeal (two things I started eating at the time of my issue in April), I am back to almost normal.
It sucks because I love tree nuts, but I never want to suffer this again. It went on for months before I finally came to the conclusion.

I used to have an itchy bum throughout most of the day for a little while. One day I ran a hot bath, got the water all soapy, took a wash cloth and went to town on my b-hole until it was fricking numb from scrubbing. No more itch baw.

Not so fast my friend.
If the doc says yeast you may be looking at Candida overgrowth.
If so, the meds prolly worked. But the anal itching increases shortly after treating due to die- off.
I would suggest learning about an anti-candida protocol: ACV, coconot oil, probiotics, etc

Do not just bend over and wipe your arse after taking a dump. You need to also sit up, pull your ballsack up and wipe some more.
