Anyone take a sleep supplement?

I’ve struggled with sleep for years and get by with nightly unisom and ZMA
It’s hit or miss and last night couldn’t fall asleep until 2am.
I have shoulder pain and it’s hard for me to relax. I do all the tricks. No sceeen time 2 hours before bed, no caffeine after 10am, workout early in morning, etc. I even sleep with a weighted blanket
Melatonin makes me feel like a zombie the next day so curious what other people take.

Take less of it. I take 2.5 mg at night when needed (I bite a 5 mg pill in half). It does the trick and I don’t feel like the walking dead the next day.
I used to have bad insomnia, and still do some nights. You have to learn to shut your brain down. Making checklists each preceding day and completing them helps. Also tuning out work and life issues and thinking, “if I don’t sleep I’ll be worthless and feel like shite tomorrow...” seems to help me.

I only take 1-2 mg. I wonder if it’s interactive with the unisom.
Maybe I’ll just try melatonin and see but there is nothing worse than the sleeping pill hangover the next day. Nothing kicks it

It definitely interacts with the Unisom.
I’m not addicted to melatonin. I only use 3-4 times per week now. I used to use it every night.
Also-try to cut the carbs after lunch. I know I sleep a whole lot better if I do that.

I haven’t slept full through the night for probably 10 years. Melatonin by itself doesn’t do anything for me, nor does that Zquil stuff. The only way I sleep a solid 8 hours is the below cocktail
- 2 xanax
- 2 muscle relaxers
- 3 melatonin (10mg)
- 2 restless leg pulls
- a capful if Zquil
Seems like a lot and I only use it sparingly, but it makes for the absolute best sleep I’ve had as an adult.

Nothing ever worked, even when mixing all of them together.
Fortunately I found my cure during these uncertain times...
Quit drinking, 20k steps a day
Sleep like a fricking baby, by midnight, sometimes 10pm. Wake up at 5 for sunrise and morning walk. Life is good.
Good luck, insomnia is the worst.

I take CBDMD CBD oil with melatonin as needed. The girlfriend takes it almost nightly and swears by it. Took it last night at 11:00 for the first time in a while, knocked me out right after, woke up at 6 AM feeling great and ready to tackle the week ahead.

Heard a doctor on the radio talking about this. Said one thing he now prescribes works better than all the years and all the medicines he’s tried:

I went by a local store yesterday and the clerk recommended it. It was $79 for a 1 month supply so I didn’t buy it
I’ve tried cbd tincture before and it didn’t do shite. I take ashwaganda Now for anxiety and it helps
I often wonder what the difference of feeling is between taking unisom and getting 8 hours and being hungover all day or taking nothing and just staying up till 12-1 until I fall asleep and getting only 5/6 hours. Wonder which will feel better

Olly sleep works great for me but I don’t are up at like 3. The stress ones I just drift off and sleep till like 6
