The 20lb vest is gonna get old very fast on the run.

Did it Saturday, partner-style. Ran a mile together, then split the 20 rds, then ran another mile together.

Much nicer, won't be wrecked for the rest of the week. We have a hero wod tomorrow.

Never done one before. My first tomorrow…any advice?

For the record, I’m not doing it with the weighted vest.

I’ll be out there.

I’m not in the greatest shape (for me), so I expect for this to suck immensely.

Did it yesterday at my post-pandemic CF gym. 20 lb vest for both runs and 10 rounds of Cindy. 10 rounds of Cindy without vest.

Was hot AF yesterday and drank a few sips of my electrolytes and BCAA mixture between each round of Cindy.

Doing tomorrow at pre-pandemic CF gym with goal of completing in entirety with vest (but partitioned with Cindy).

My advice would be to accept fact it's a long workout, you're doing it for a purpose, and to focus on each rep as opposed to how many reps you have left. Tomorrow will be my 7th time doing it. Good luck to all.

Well that was a disaster.

At my parents and they didn’t have any coffee this morning, so stopped at a gas station on the way to the gym and stopped for a Bang. I never drink energy drinks but figured it couldn’t hurt. That was dumb.

My guts were bubbling on that first mile. I had to stop on round 11 for a potty break.

So 52:23 if you count the 4 minute poo break

Even if you don’t count the break, that’s still my slowest time in a few years.

I did it partitioned without a vest. Too old for that thing - just glad I can still do it scaled. Our gym programs hero WODs for every workout during the month of May. It’s been a brutal month

That would have been good for 10th in 2016 CFG Murph where they broke it up into 5 rounds of 20-40-60 with a vest. When they did it unpartioned in 2015, that time would have been around 4th overall.

Both 2015 & 2016 were in Cali, so weather conditions today in Louisiana were probably much tougher, too.

So, you’re qualifying for the Games this year, right?

He probably doesn’t compete. A lot of people out there are freak athletes and have no interest in CF games. Probably just doesn’t wanna get on the sauce like all the guys winning those are.

Thanks baw. My running isn't where it needs to be but it's not bad. I always say I'm going to train for it and never do. I'd like to break 45 minutes next year.

the pull ups are what most people struggle with, but don't let the push ups fool you, they get spicy quicker than you think

for the pull ups, just do as many as you can, then switch to jumping singles or something to the finish

its a "fun" workout to do, even if you have to modify some of the movements

also I'm sore as frick today

Yes. The vest was a real bitch. The pull ups would have been a breeze without it but it made them the toughest part by far.

The pushups are by far the hardest part, IMO. The pullups aren't too bad. I can do 70 or so pretty easily and by then you're almost done.

I was able to do the push ups in two sets. I hit 50 pull ups in 4 or 5 sets then after that it was doubles/singles.
