Felt a weird pain in my knee on the second set of squats. Didn't stop me from finishing and didn't feel it during deadlifts. Hope it goes away

I feel like I've been saying this with my hand the last two weeks

Good one today. First set of snatches was way too light so I threw another 50lbs on, that made it a challenge. Was nice to be able to just sit at a squat rack for almost all the workout. Got up to 225 on the shrugs and that tested my grip. Also ended with 130 on the farmer carry. Almost dropped that getting it back to the rack, but the forearms felt solid after

The hard part about today's and tomorrow's work is making myself go light.

I knew today would be short so I took the dog for an extra long walk this morning instead of lifting before work.

Go easy tomorrow boys and eat a shitload for dinner!

Luckily it's my daughter's birthday tomorrow so carbo loading with cake is definitely my plan

Curious what others plan to run after this is over? I think I'm going to do Jacked Up Joker. I like the shrug volume.

Last year I ran BF2 after squatober. I may do mass that lasts this time.

Quick and easy this morning. Accidentally did sets of 20 for the KB swings, and was able to do 4 sets of 5 slow chin ups. Still amazed at the progress I've made this month. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Let's crush it boys. I'm aiming for 375, but I'll be happy at 350.

As I did last year, I'll try to post a video of my failure set.

Done! I was using 315 as my TM (coincidentally it's my 1RM from last Squatober). Hit 340 and attempted 345. I MIGHT could've gotten it, but decided to bail. Figured there was no reason to ego lift in a gym by myself at 4:15am.

As always I wanted more, but I'm happy with the results. 25# YoY and 15# since my last attempt in Jan. Considering I was down several weeks in the spring with a bad upper respiratory infection and hurt my back in July, it's a huge win to get any gains.

Heck yeah, congrats! Mine was less than that at 315, but I'm still pumped about it. I don't work too hard on legs during the year, but I'm planning to change that now and see how much I can improve next year.

I'm a little disappointed in myself. I had been using 320 as a TM. I failed at 340 after hitting 330 relatively smoothly. I think I should have been using a higher TM all month.

I also wish I had time to do the lift at lunch today rather than 530am before eating anything.

Oh well. I'll stick with 340 as my max going forward into mass that lasts.

I still love squatober! Hope you all do better than I did this morning.

Failure @340#:

That's some uplifting news you're listening to

It's been a fricking month yall. Before today I had never done a squat with more than 265 on the bar (good amount of reps at least, but still). My 115% goal was right at 315. Happy to report that not only did I hit it, I actually went a tiny bit beyond. My video is from the 315 rep, and you'll see I wiggled and drifted a little to the right while going up. Didn't really love that but felt I had more in me, so I gave myself a few minutes rest then went for 320. I think I'd have failed with anything more, but I was able to get a clean rep. I should probably also get a belt for stuff like this going forward. Crazy what you can accomplish in a month. Cheers yall
