Good stuff.

I got 13 sets on the pressure cooker this week compared to 9 last week. I really emptied the tank on this and only got 5 sets of lunges. I am definitely feeling it today and my HRV was way down last night so I definitely could use some recovery lol but we press on!

I'm definitely going to have to use the Smith machine tomorrow. The resort gym has a free weight section that I've been using, but there are no safety bars.

I'm not trying to wind up in a Mexican hospital from failing on 90%x5

I think yall are underestimating yourselves. Don't get me wrong, it was definitely heavy but not nearly as bad as I was expecting. Like the notes said, I went mostly unbroken. I think I took a breath or 2 to rebrace myself in the middle of the last set. Honestly, the fatigue on the 10 sets of bench was worse. I went heavier than written on bench (53% vs 40%). 40% was just way too light. Adding in stretching, 6 warm-up sets on squat, 2 on bench, locating weights, and clean-up all came in under an hour.

In the middle.of finishing up the bench right now, and you're right. 40% is too light I did similar to you and jumped up to 52% for the last 6 sets.

Y'all were right. Close grips were probably harder than the squats.

I opted not to use the Smith machine and ended up going straight free weights. I'm not super proud of my depth on that last set of 4 at 90%, but I wasn't about to risk injuring myself.

Great week. I am super grateful that my vacation didn't break up the party. Resort gyms are always a gamble

Good on you not using a vacation as an excuse to not get the work in

We have a 5 and 8 year old with us. My gym time is as just as much an escape for me as a hard workout. I need my 60-90 minute me time.

Yeah boi got that shite done

Glad this week is over, was not looking forward to this one but the early am post gave me an optimistic mindset. Cranked the boombox to 11 and got to work.

Cheers & Enjoy the weekend fellas y’all earned it. Geaux tigers

Pressure Cooker cooked me. I either tied my prior with 16 or hit 17. Around the 11/12 mark I couldn't recall if I said "thats 12" or "next is 12" so I went with the lower count

5 min of reverse lunges was a burner

I am going to try to push through the weekend and see how I feel monday to catch up

I used a whiteboard to keep a tally of my sets on those because I can’t count

When there's adequate rest time (45+ seconds), I'll grab my phone to note the set. Otherwise, I count them in my head; 1-2, 2-2, 3-2, 4-2, etc.
