13 on the pressure cooker today. Kicked my butt.
My bad not getting to post tomorrow's workout. I have been slammed this morning.

I only finished 11 with the pressure cooker, onto tomorow

Today's workout caught me off guard. For the most part, it was actually pretty quick and easy. I was in and out in under an hour (including stretching, warm-up, and waste time).
I forgot my arm sleeves, so the knurling on the zerchers gave a little discomfort. No real notes on the front squats. They are what they are. I saw the tempo RFESS and assumed today would be easier due to the slightly quicker tempo...WRONG! I had absolute jello legs by set 2. I probably looked like a baby giraffe taking it's first steps. It was BAD... Spent 20min walking on the treadmill afterwards to regain control of my legs.

Still hate front squats.
Zerchers were pretty cool though. Bulgarians would have been easy if sets of 5. Really felt the burn on the last few reps of each set. Nice workout today.

Got 16 sets yesterday @ 325#. Legs are FEELING it today. Not looking forward to those bulgarians today

I've never done Zercher squats before this workout. I only used 135. They were easy, but definitely uncomfortable on the elbow pits.
Finished today's in about 40 minutes. I supersetted the front squats with calf raises just for fun.
Those rfess got me jelly walking. Good pump though. My pants are definitely a little tighter on the walk out

I included the caption for tomorrows since he recommends doing some warm up reps. Which we all seem to be doing anyways.

Zercher squats
not on the legs but my damn arms
Today was quick but the Bulgarians at the end really got to burning

I know we are still early, but this has been by far my favorite programming so far for a Squatober. Love the variation of squats this year.

I have to agree. Last year was heavy, heavy, heavy almost every day.
I enjoyed the Zerchers today. I also had jelly legs leaving the gym today from those split squats.

Just a general question about the ppsa programs. When he gives a percentage, I'm assuming that's of your 1rm?
Posted on 10/8/25 at 2:20 pm to Miner
No it is from a training max. He recommends using 90%-95% of your 1RM for this.

I use 90% for squat abd deadlift, but I use 95% for bench. Idk why

Long one today, but not overly heavy. Worst of it was the curl/carry superset. That was only really due to my forearms getting fatigued by the last couple sets.

This exactly for me as well.
