For the gym goers here, what’s your game plan? How will you attack this next break? Bodyweight HIIT? Frequency Method? Switch to running/sprinting/conditioning?

God I hope not

It wasn’t so bad last time because the weather was so nice, so working out in my garage or running/cycling was pretty awesome

Working out in A/C is heaven right now.

Same

I picked up running during the spring. Idk if I could do that in this heat.

Once you have a home gym you'll never go back.

I'd like to think I would feel the same way but honestly during the first lockdown, my Crossfit gym was giving home bodyweight workouts and after about 3 weeks I lost all motivation to do the Crossfit stuff. I thought I was even going to stop and just go back to a regular gym and run for cardio. Then they re-opened and my love for Crossfit came right back. The environment makes a world of difference for me in motivation, dedication, and fun.

home gym

Been training in gyms since 1986. Building 1st home gym now. It is fun but challenging with the equipment demand, limited space & all. Surprised to see most commercial quality equipment is built & sold abroad.

This. Just make sure you have or add some insulation above and around it.

If not, you’re wasting your time

Currently my gyms are still open, but my wife and I are less than two weeks out from having a baby girl, so I've started working from home, and working out in my brother-in-law's garage so i can avoid contact with others. He has a rack and bench, and a couple cable set ups. If I'm creative, I can get a pretty complete workout there without coming into contact with anyone else. For cardio, I've just been walking a couple miles in this God awful heat.
