My 790 PW is 46.

A 790 AW is 49 degrees. Not very versatile except for full shots because of the sole.

I currently have a 54 and a 58 M5.

I have a big gap.

Would a 52, 56, 60 make more sense ?

My Titleist T150 PW is a 44. I added in the GW with 48 loft. Have 50, 54, and 58 Cleveland RTX6 wedges. Gets me from 130 yds to ~ 85 yds in full swing gapping with 10-12 yards between each. 54 and 58 for in between shots depending on how much I want them to hold or run.

My i230 PW is 45. I then go 50, 54(bent to 55) then 60.

Thinking my next set of irons I’ll order the Gap/approach because the only time I use my 50 is on full shots anyway. The 54 gets the lions share of the duties around the green anyway.

Hot Metal PW is 42 I think, then I have Vokey 46,52,&58.

I don’t mind the wider gapping. I’ve done the 50,54,58 & 52,56,60 wedge setup when I had an iron set with a 45 PW. I just found myself not using the 54 and 56 all that much when I had those setups, so when I bought the Hot Metals with jacked up lofts, I widened the 50+ wedges to fill the gap with the 46.

Think my pitching wedge is 46, it's a Mizuno to match my set
52 is a Wilson Staff
56 and 60 are Alchemy

I like my 52 but might get an Alchemy to match the others.

Sub 70
699 pro
Pitching wedge is 45
Approach wedge 50

Then I have Sub 70 JB wedges: 54/58

Can’t have too many wedges.
Try them out and see what is best for you.

Honestly, sometimes I think I should forget about a lob wedge. That thing causes me some grief sometimes.

Raw 44* Vokey WedgeWorks with Modus 120R hard stepped twice

Raw 50* (Bent to 49*) Vokey SM10 with R300 hard stepped once

Raw 54* Vokey SM10 with R300 hard stepped once

Raw 60* (bent to 59*) Vokey WedgeWorks K* with R300 hard stepped once.

Using a Vokey for a pitching wedge was expensive but I HIGHLY recommend it. And the K Star 60 is the best grind I’ve ever used. My irons have modus 105S. The regs feel awesome in the wedges, especially chipping.

I am, but I happen to like the bounce on the 58 (12) more than the 54 (10) in the sand. I'd like to get my hands on the same clubs with the bounce swapped to see how that works. I'm fine (relatively ) in bunkers greenside, but struggle anything over 20 yards

Long bunker shots have a high degree of difficulty.

They have their place. Greenside bunkers, turtle backs with not much room for roll out, places where you’re chipping from an elevated place above the green. But yeah, I think they’re overused beyond that. I actually kind of hate them for about anything else.

I did something a little different this time when I got my wedges put together. I use to have 4 degree increments from PW to LW prioritizing that end of the bag. I realized I was always coming up short because I was trying to get too cute. Now I got 6 degrees of difference with fewer wedges and I've noticed that I'm pin high more often and the mental gymnastics of which wedge to hit has vanished. If I'm within x yardage, I only have one shot to try and hit. YMMV
