As the nations BMI increases, so has the use of golf carts.

Allowing 5somes and only having 5-10 minutes between tee times. Makes the course look like a damn circus.

Also playing behind an old man with one of these in his bag.

Downvotes to all of you who are anti-BT speakers. I enjoy walking the course and listening to a ballgame on the radio.

I walked well over 100 rounds this past season. Great exercise. More people should ditch the carts and walk.

If you used earbuds instead of a speaker nobody would care.

Range finders and carts with gps. Slows 99% out there. That promotes overthinking, which leads to poor shots which lead to frustrated twilight players

I don't want to listen to your gotdamn ballgame when I'm playing golf. When I'm trying to putt, I don't want to hear, "AND GARCIA STEALS THIRD!!!"

This is true. Most fundraisers get almost cart rental only fee. If a course is $80 to ride, $25-30 of that is cart fee. Charity brings 100 players, 50 carts at $60 (2 players) is $3000. Also it’s why replay rate at several places is cart fee.

Carts are a huge expense per month for a golf course.

As a former bag/cart boy, yes. If you dropped those bad boys off without a nice tip, they weren't getting cleaned for crap.

With a good club washing machine, it took <1 min to run through a normal set after a normal round, once you knew what you were doing. Iron covers probably tripled that time. More than that, it just made you dislike the person and not want to go out of your way for them like you would other members.

Even with a good tip, we would leave them last on the rack in the bagroom and hope to pass them on to someone else.

If you’re a purist and traditionalist, don’t stop there. No hand carts (push, pull or electronic). You walk and carry your bag. Anything you can stuff in it except noise making devices, but YOU carry it and walk.

baw country blaring,

This is the worst trend in golf. The Bluetooth speaker. Listening to Skynyrd or Kid Rock’s pandora station for 4 hours sort of takes away from the experience for your playing partners and others.

I usually walk, and my range finder speeds up play, since I don’t have to look for a sprinkler head with a yardage
