What is Fennwood Hills in Zachary like?

I've lived and played golf in BR for 12+ years now and somehow never heard of this course up until a few days ago. I know it's private, but I'm absolutely baffled that I've never known about it til now.

It’s a nine hole course wth separate tee boxes for the back 9. Puts the COUNTRY in country club. Course conditions are good, greens are better than any public course in area and rival any area course.
It’s public during the week. Regular money games, Definitely worth a trip to Zachary.

Last time I played there, I was really impressed by the greens. Slick. It feels like a harder City Park.

Narrow. Great greens. Couple really hard holes. Some VERY good golfers play there regularly and you can always get a bet.

It’s no Metairie Country Club, but it’s a decent little 9 hole track.

Yea you can get almost any bet you want out there. We’ve got +4’s all the way down to dudes who aren’t sure if they should start giving left handed clubs a try

My dad used to be club president in the 90s, and would always tell me they had no idea what they were doing to keep the greens so good, they just were.

I was given a pass for myself and 3 other golfers for Fennwood a couple of years ago. It was brought off of Groupon. The greens were awesome then.
I was told that them and False River country club had the best greens around Baton Rouge.

Bayou Bend in Crowley has interior OB on 14 to keep Coach Chappie from taking a shorter route on a 605yd hole
