What course has greens that you read well/can't read at all?

As for BR area, I can't read the greens at Santa Maria for shite....and often I can't judge the speed well either. I never feel comfortable putting there for whatever reason. I'm a 3-putt waiting to happen.

The greens at Pelican Point seem to be the ones I'm best with. Only 1 three-putt the last 3 rounds. I always feel like I know where the ball is going...I just have to hit it the right speed.

I'm pretty comfortable at Beaver Creek also. Those greens always seem pretty true.

In the Lafayette area I cant putt for shite at The Farm but always seem to putt well at Wetlands. Scared to death at Oakbourne but love it

LSU greens always get me. One will be slow AF the next one will race past the hole.

A real course that has given me issues in the past is Greystone. Played out there with a member once and he had it dialed in but it just didnt feel right. Very odd

Played the Crenshaw in Austin Tx and I couldn't even tell if the putt was uphill or downhill. Made me feel small. Very small.

Shoal Creek in Birmingham, Al gives me fits and I consistently blow it past the hole. Also, Pacific Dunes in Oregon were the fastest and hardest greens I ever played to read break. I love this game!!

Any course with bent greens. Can never get used to how much more they break than Bermuda.

I played the River course at Blackwolf Run in Wisconsin recently. Those had to have been some of the fastest and toughest-to-read greens I have ever played in my life. Started off way under-reading everything and then over-compensated and never really got on track.

Also played Whistling Straits, and I didn't think those greens were all that tough once you were on them. Blackwolf's greens made Whistling's look like kiddy golf.

The greens at Augusta are impossible to read.

Especially when yI'll never be able to get on, let alone have a damn tough time getting into the grounds

Any course that has Bermuda greens and they are lightning fast. Grain, speed, and undulation is a lot to process. I love playing bent because it’s literally what you see is what it is. Just match speed to the line and it’s buckets.

Carter has greens with a lot of subtle little breaks that I can't see coming at all

Depending on pin placement there are some tough putts on that course.

Played Saturday, looks like they’re having a hard time with the greens recovering from punching.

Any mountain course. I can't tell uphill or downhill, much less left or right

On the newer Bermuda greens, if they are really fast, there's generally very little to no grain effect.

I am thankful I played with a local when I played there.
