How mad would you be if you caught someone doing this is a money game?
I played on Saturday with a guy who got caught putting Vaseline on his Driver face. It helps reduce the spin of the golf ball. Is this something that you would be furious with or what? How do you react?

Tell him he can use it but if he looses the bet you get to use that Vaseline to lube up the butt of his driver to peg him with it.

I get the point of putting Vaseline on a driver, especially a persimmon back in the day. But nowadays, if you need to take off spin, go change drivers. There are low spin options that can get you more dialed than some Vaseline.
But I'd put this on par with someone patting down the lie behind the ball or intentionally mismarking a putt closer. It's more heinous than playing with 15 clubs, but not as bad as "finding a ball in the rough." In the sense that you still have to hit the shot. The Vaseline isn't an auto fairway finder.

I kinda agree with this. I legit have never heard of putting Vaseline on a driver to improve it. Guess it’s in relation to a corked bat. You still have to hit it but you’re def still cheating. And i really don’t get the point of even doing that.

You know he’s improving his lie and never loses a ball OB too. If they’re cheating with the Vaseline, then they’re cheating in all the other aspects.

Tell him he has to let somebody else wipe off his club face on every teebox. If he doesn't like it then he just doesn't get to play with yall anymore. Cheaters deserve to be shamed
