Thinking about getting some new Irons, any suggestions

Thinking about replacing my Sub 70 699 Pros. I am 68 with a 4.6 index. Looking for more height and distance. Suggestions welcome.

Srixon X5 and TM 790 fit the bill of height & distance.

4 index. Just fitted yesterday and hit about 7 different irons from various manufacturers. I’m currently in Honmas.
The club that outperformed everything (distance, dispersion, trajectory etc) was the Mizuno 245 Pro. This have a thin top line and look like a blade but are hollow w forgiveness. No foam. Small sole as well if you play in thin grass conditions.

I can’t oversell these irons enough. I’ve put them on the monitor with P790s and got identical numbers.
Call Sub70 and they will walk you through the buying process. I spent 30 minutes talking with their top fitter before I bought my driving iron. It came in yesterday. Beautiful club. 699 pro UDI
And, you can’t beat the price. The customer service is second to NONE!
ETA: if you haven’t gone graphite yet, do it.

I'd second the p790 recommendation. The things are rocket launchers if you need help in that department.

I really like my Sub 70 699 Pros, just looking at other options. Read good things about the Srixon X5 MKII, Ping I530, and the Mizuno 245 Pro. Have you tried the new 699 V2 Pros? I do play graphite, think I would like to upgrade over my current shafts. I am a retired PGA Golf Professional, just looking to maximize my game at my age.

My new UDI is a V2. I’m in a FB group of Sub70 owners. There’s lots of guys who went from OGs (V1) to the V2s and love them. My next set will be V2s with the MMT shafts or the Project X graphite they made for Sub70. I have the PX in my UDI.
