It’s my understanding the deal was closed yesterday and the new owner plans to refurbish the course and reopen in about a year. When this course was in its original pristine condition there were none better in south Louisiana in my opinion.

Hope your understanding is right. Heard there were financing problems.

Heard the same. But also heard yesterday was the closing day as well with financing in place.

Here’s to hoping the bluffs can get back to the old days of some of the best golf in the state.

I heard L'Auberge was the Sugar Daddy? Any truth to that?

If financing is a problem now, just wait until they try to run a golf course!

Sweet.

Hopefully this group can do a worthy reno of the place. It’s in terrible condition right now.

worse than terrible. war zone like. very reputable persons say there is a serious, genuine reno plan in place. I know, very vague and no credible sources, but it's what i've heard so i pass it on anyway fwiw

Purchasing a defunct golf club in need of massive renovations headed into a recession with astronomical gas and supply prices is a bold move. Not to mention the reason it keeps closing down is because it’s in the middle of nowhere and doesn’t make enough money.
