You’re right. Members can be more of a pain in the arse as anyone.
The business has become please everyone. Instead of setting the rules, it changes constantly to make a buck.
A place like Top Golf is what people want. That can’t be created in 18 holes. Or even 9.

what is on the table now is the POA buying the pools, tennis courts, restaurant and nature trail vs closure

So closing golf and turning it into nature trails?

no, there's a nature trail out there already, an amenity. Not saying the course might not be one soon, but that's a different subject

I recently moved to Chicago from
Baton Rouge and there are more great courses in a 5 mile radius of my house than the entire state of Louisiana, it’s absolutely abysmal for
Golf, Iraq has better courses than Louisiana

I mean, at least you know they'll be closed. In Louisiana you just t lose half the season to rain

6 months into 2021, and there have been 2 weekends I haven’t been able to play golf, both due to weather. I couldn’t function somewhere that golf courses are closed 6 months of the year.

I ate at a Mexican restaurant in Lubbock Texas that beats any in Baton Rouge.

Are you saying Chicago is closer to Scotland than Louisiana so it has a natural advantage?

The news isn’t getting any better.

Dodson’s last exchange with homeowners basically laid out the severe reduction in all staff starting this month. Everything is closed except golf course and bar. And very minimal funds are being used to keep them open, that is until his interest in selling goes away.

The homeowners are still working to get finances arranged to buy the pool, trails, etc. Basically everything except the golf course and clubhouse.

Sad state out there. Really hope the golf course survives but I’m afraid its days are numbered.
