Trump may be a great President and golfer, but holy shite, that putting stroke is absolutely the worst I've ever seen.

He made more putts than I’ve made in a round in a long time.

I'm pretty sure that's not where the putter face should be pointing It's actually amazing he hit some very nice putts. Looks like a guy that's been fighting the yips for 30+ years.

It's effective and repeatable.

One thing golf has taught me is that I've seen alot of pretty swings on high handicappers and hideous swings on low caps.

End of the day, however the ball gets in the hole is the way to go.

It is not the conventional stroke of today.

I have a yip in my right hand so I say or sing when I putt. It keeps my wrist from flipping.

Trump has a really good swing. The putting stroke could improve.

My grandad putted like that and I’d bet my house he would out-putt anyone here. Dude would put cut and draw spin on it at times to counteract sever slopes…and he made shite from 20 feet like prime Spieth. I asked him for advice on putting once and he told me “your brain is the most powerful computer imaginable, just look at the putt and put it in your computer and let your brain do the work.” I was like…”uh …ok thanks grandad”. I guess I just didn’t get whatever he had that made him so good.

Hey it's ugly but it works

The only bad part is gonna be the couillons trying to emulate him

It’s a jab. Easy fix. Still he isn’t a bad putter.

There is no room for a picture on a golf scorecard.

Or, they don’t ask how, they ask how many.

Did it go in?

Only question that matters.

He's almost 80. I don't think he cares.

When I watch old film of guys in the 1930-1970 timeframe there are so many individualized swings and putting strokes.

My dad would hit putts with topspin sometimes. The old school guys with the bullseye or flange style blade putters were artist.

I struggle putting at times. I have an old school putter in the garage, straight down toe hang, Arnold Palmer blade. I should restart and regroup and be more free with putting.

I'm no astrophysicist but I'm pretty sure all puts have "topspin."

You’re right.

He manipulated putts by moving it back or up in his stance. He also seemed to create spin that was more than just the ball rolling end over end.

It seems heavy, but I know that sounds ridiculous

I think at 18:07 in the video, he legitimately double hits one of his putts.

But it’s the best result by far that I’ve ever seen from a stroke that looks like that
