Any of you TM fans know what their release cycle is these days?
Back when I was a fan, it happened to be every 3-4 weeks. Got my eyes on some of their irons but want to wait till they bottom out.
TIA

You should have made me an offer before I got my P790's dialed in.. I would have let them go for cheap

Will be awesome when they come out, but I'll appreciate the extra help that the TM P790s offer

They feel pretty dead to me, far cry from who the tried to copy IMO.

Man, you're the second person that has told me that. I thought the PXGs felt dead though. The 790s had an extra feeling to them that was 2nd to none when flushed.

Let us know if you find out. I'm in the market for some TMs also. P790s felt great. I've always been a Titleist fan but the TMs felt so much better than the AP3s.

Sales guys at watts in br says the 790’s are the most returned set they’ve seen in a while. Their distance is inconsistent. Some 7 irons go 185 others 165, and these are similarly struck shots.

That doesn’t make sense. How would two shots struck identically have a 20 yard difference? I wouldn’t believe that out of a box set much less the taylormades. That sounds physically impossible, the material composition of the face isn’t shifting between shots.

I'd be willing to bet money that the average golfer playing the 790s cant tell on the face due to the TPE injected stuff. Feel is consistent across the face and they're most likely getting punished for not catching it sweet. Much like a players iron.
TBH, this is the first I am hearing of massive distance losses. Edwin Watts guys aren't exactly knowledgeable either. They push their favorite sticks.

My friend is a scratch golfer and told me there were some inconsistencies in the irons. He bought them off a guy who contends for city champion each year. He didn’t like them either. He never said 20 yards off, but said that even well struck shots “didn’t fly right.” The guys at golfballs.com steered me away from those irons as well.

I could see there being some club inconsistencies due to their popularity and needing to get them out with how popular they were when they first came out; they were steadily back ordered on the heads. But, not the idea that the same club struck the same way gets different distances, that just doesn’t make sense.
Also, a certain club fitter in Gretna loves them if we are talking about fitters

I love my P790s. Have not noticed distance inconsistencies with well struck shots

That’s a complaint I’ve heard about taylormade for years. They are so mass produced, that it’s quantity over quality.

I feel that way about my M2 driver. After about a week I felt like the head lost 10% of its performance. Almost like the demos are juiced.
As for irons, I never stray away from mizuno. They are more focused on quality over quantity

Versus what? You don't think Callaway, Cleveland, Titleist, etc or all producing the same amount of product?

I think that taylormade quite frankly uses substandard metal in their irons. Inconsistencies in the metal density to save a buck. That’s why Mizuno and Miura have stood the test of time and are widely regarded as some of the best irons. Their metal and forging process is impeccable.
