Sorry Baws, this logo and 3 name approach is notttttttt good. Looks like a 3rd grader designed this in communist China. That “tiger” looks like a wet donut that got stepped on. AI generator could have done way better.

Brands change logos all the time, I'm sure they will revise, improve, and move on.

I don’t get why SUN and DAY are two words.

I agree. That seems like an unnecessary stretch. Sunday Red or simply Red would’ve been better IMO. It’s Tiger Woods, if you don’t get the Red angle we can’t help you.

This is the best reason I've seen for that question yet.

Likely the most accurate as well...

I believe I read somewhere that Tiger owns all the TMs associated with his nike stuff. Could be misremembering, but I'm not going searching for it

There are 17 stripes on the tiger for all his majors he's won. I think that's what I read.

Nike did own “Sunday Red” but abandoned it in 2011

TM Lifestyle Ventures just filed for protection in Dec. 2023 for both Sunday Red and Sun Day Red

Tiger should've gotten fitted for a better logo.

I don't understand the hate for it. I personally like it. I think its something new and appealing. I hate it when someone or brand just takes an old logo and revamps it. Feels like stealing to me.

I'm sure you guys have seen this but this is the meaning behind the three separate words.

quote:

"Sun Day Red." Three words because, TaylorMade CEO David Abeles told Erin Andrews, Woods and the TaylorMade team kept coming back to the rule of three throughout the creative process. "Sun," alone, is an ode to the weather golfers hope for. "Day," alone, because golf is "played on any day of the week," says Abeles. And "Red," of course, is the color Tiger famously wore on final rounds throughout his storied career—a color he says his mother chose for him. "She thought being a Capricorn that my power color was red, so I wore red as a junior golfer and I won some tournaments," he reminded the crowd.

I've seen people say he should have done like MJ and made a silhouette like this -

and do something like this -

But like I said, I think that's cheating.

This is something new and fresh and I for one am in for it. Will be purchasing some.

It's 15, and they said they'd update the logo if he won another. I don't think that'll be a problem.

I mean it looks like traditional stuff to me. Will all be about the material and comfort. Not sure how it looks any different than Nike or Peter Millar
