Anyone know of a good short game instructor in south Louisiana? I could use a lesson or two.

Keep your head down, don’t decelerate, don’t let the butt of the club pass your belly button. Finish with your pole facing the pole. Try it. If it works, Venmo me $40.

My only suggestion is to only chip with one club unless you gotta go over a bunker to a short sided flag. I chip with my 56 degree exclusively so I have a consistent chip height and I can get used to the amount of roll out.

Me! I’m not the best, but I’m cheap. You will get better or at least have fun.

This has been the biggest key for me.

Don't hit it long on that practice green, unless you like long downhill walks.

When in doubt, hit a flop shot.

Baw asks for instructor recs and immediately gets two unsolicited tips from golf posters here. Love this place

In case you haven’t noticed on TD:

- on the golf board everyone is either Pelz or Harmon
- on the money board everyone is Gekko
- on the food board everyone is Ramsey
- on the OT everyone is a rich a-hole

I watched Phil Mickelson lessons on Y/T and found some wedges with the correct sole and my short game went from my weakest link to strongest part of my game in a matter of a few months.

Biggest thing that I try to remember is all my weight on front foot and stand a fraction further away from the ball. To no decelerate, I try to shove the wedge under the ball if that makes sense.

another tip that I recently learned is keep your legs as still as possible in the short game. You want no lower body movement. I had difficulties at time with random shanks and my fitter told me it was from my knee movement.

It is VERY hard for me to keep my lower body still. It definitely helped me but I need to find a drill that makes it become more natural feeling for me. It is almost impossible for me.
