How did you fellas go about chosing your current putter? There are so many different models and the stores don't even have all the possibilities. How do you avoid getting overwhelmed?

I hit a buddy’s putter and loved it.
Go to a golf store and hit a bunch. Wait for that feeling of it dang near vibrating in your fingers. Buy that one.

Putter. Go to the store, see what fits my eye. Everyone is different, but I’ve found mallet style with wings with sight alignment guides works best for me. I was a good putter before, I’ve been really good since getting this.

I wasn't crazy about them when the first came out, but I switched to the Odyssey Versa M5 and that putter is so easy to line up.

Get on a LM to see which one I can consistently hit my intended launch direction. The find the face/insert that allows me to control speed the best. I’ve been putting with the same #7 for years. I’ve flirted with some others but nothing can outperform that old piece of shite.

I have an old Wilson Staff bag, must have a dozen or so putters in it. When one goes cold, I grab another out the bag, put on a new grip, & roll on. They all have something similar in common, all face balanced. Currently gaming Ping B-60.

#1 - I must be able to pick up the ball with it.
#2 - The look has to be in line with what I perceive the line to be.
#3 - the feel makes me put a good stroke on it.

My latest putter is a lady's model

Considering a LAB right now. I can't putt for shite right now, and I know it won't help. My Ping Ketsch (sp) needs to be punished and put in time out

Just find a Scotty Cameron I like and give it a shot. Haven't putted with anything other than a Scotty for probably 15 years.

I agree. Find the one that feels best. I always find the one that feels best that day, then give it a few days and come back to see if the magic is still there. It usually isn't. Ive tried a few over the past few years. Just put my White Hot XG back in the bag which is like 15 years old and have been putting the best I have in years.

Just be like BigRyno, make 350k a year, own 17 putters, when one isn’t working, grab another.
