This weekend I’m hosting the most prestigious event for elite net handicaps. True, it is invitation only, but what a joy when you hold one of these precious invitations.

Friday is optional practice round at Regatta Bay

Saturday is Round one at Windswept Dunes

Sunday is final round of the Championship at The Links in Sandestin. This round is coupled with the 2-man team Best Ball Championship.

Our sponsor this year is “Petey’s Used Golf Balls”.

Regatta, Windswept then Links? Talk about a let down after 2 great courses.

Originally we were on The Raven...but time tables with travel forced us into a box and The Links was the only one that fit.

I have never played The Links....tell me about it and what to expect.

Links is the oldest of the courses. It’s short compared to the other 2. It does have some scenic views that are nice and a few cool holes. Depending on the tees, you may not need driver a lot.

If it’s in good shape, it’ll still be a fun day especially with a 4ball involved. There should be lots of birdies compared to the first 2 days.

It’s not a bad course, but I would always pick Raven then Baytowne then Links.

As Coach Chappy said it's the oldest of the SanDestin courses. It's usually in middling shape, but it probably has some of the most scenic holes in the area. It's got some really mundane muni-style holes as well. It's also got a lot of water, so get ready for that.
