Just a warning. Got invited to go play there today. It’s been a while since I played there. The greens were so bad. The poa annua is rampant. Your reward for not knowing what your putt is going to do 3 feet after it leaves your putter is you get to pay 60.00 to experience it lol.

I’ve seen worse, feels like a tough season to maintain right now too. Where have you played that has their greens doing well right now? Asking because I haven’t played much lately

Luckily the poa does when it gets hot.

You’d think with all the tax money brec gets they could afford to spray

Poa has been very minimal thus far. Which courses has it creeping in?

Copper mill is getting good. Greens are nice as they can be for this time of year. Not a weed on them. Still got a couple heavy sand spots here and there, but puts SM to shame. I played SM last week, greens are a joke

BREC isn’t spending the money on the courses like before. More going NBR programs

It’s possible they have herbicide resistant poa. It’s becoming a real problem. There are a few universities working on a solution.

That money is probably going into a corrupt politician’s pocket.

I thought BC last Tuesday was fantastic. Didn't see the POA as in years past.

Not sure why they don't embrace it and roll it like plenty of other courses do across the states.

Poa dies in the heat here.

Santa Maria gets beat down every year and with no irrigation that place seems like it can never be above average.

Did they have a starter on the first hole to help people go off at the right time when you played? My buddy and I played out there a month ago. We had a tee time for 9:45a. We didn't tee off until almost 10:30a and played a 5 plus hour round.

Course is alot of fun, but that was frustrating.

I understand it dies, but why not manage it until the nights get above 70 degrees or whatever until it dies.

Vs this half arse stuff where you get spots all across the greens
