If you wanted to take the scorecard even if you didn't use it would that be stealing? Or if you used the tee's they put in the cup holders would you put them back or would taking them be stealing?

I don't take the pencils because I don't collect them and I normally just keep my score in my head anyway. But pencil, scorecard, tees, they've always been complimentary items provided by the course. If you use it one time and it wears down the pencil tip the course is just going to throw it away. I highly doubt they have a pencil sharpener in the cart barn and the kids are sharpening the pencils for reuse after a round or two, they are just going to throw them away.

I look at the scorecard as something you paid for with your green fee. It's yours It's not reusable for the next guy who gets your cart. The tees are obviously complimentary or they wouldn't be there. The pencil is provided so you can log your score. I don't get why this is some wild take. I mean, other than you being a collector of pencils (lol) why TF would you want to take it?

And see I've never lumped the pencil into that category but maybe I'm wrong. I can accept that.

Why doesn’t the pencil double as a tee? Put the working end of the tee on the pencil. Did Abe Lincoln use charcoal to keep score? And did he return it?

I'm going to be quite honest, the thought never occured to me to take the pencil. I don't even use the scorecard, I enter my score directly into the GHIN app.
