Looks pretty nice. As an exception to the normal 9 or 18, I don’t have a problem with it if that is all the land will permit. I’d rather play a13 hole course that was well laid out and maintained than an 18 hole course that hade several holes that don’t make sense given the topography. Hell, it would probably help my game to only play 13 holes!

Ask. They probably plan on adding the rest.

Jack Nicklaus is a big proponent of 12-Hole courses. I think he understands.

I'd like to make that trip too.

Golf has some challenges to keep the game relevant. 6 and 12 hole options may solve some of the major issues.
1. Time: even 9 holes with warmup is about 90 minutes 2 hours plus commute. Many people are unable to devote 2 to 3 hours 2 days a week to play especially if no other family members play.
2. Expense: Golf is an expensive hobby. Even a modest club will charge $15 to $20 to walk 9. My dues are $390/month. A more modest club would be $150/month is so.
3. Golf is difficult. At some point to improve, one must practice to get better. Many give up because of 1,2 and 3.
Maybe 6 holes is ideal to squeeze in after work. I wish we had some holes where we could play 1,2,8,9 before dark. As it is, sometimes we will play 10,17,18 in addition to the front to squeeze in 12 after work.

i like the high barrier of entry, keeps the dip shits out of the game.

Everyone starts out as a dipshit. If you want nice courses, you need more people playing, even if it means more people are playing the goat tracks.

I've got a good thing going at my club (pay a discounted rate to do this), and I play around six holes 2-3 times a week. Never really have time for a full round, but the frequency i play helps my game to tread water, and not completely lose my game.
I'm dreading the time change, days are getting so short as it is. Yesterday at 1:30 it looked like 4:30 a few months ago.

Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus have designed 13 and 12 hole courses, respectively. Yet some internet badass thinks they are a terrible idea.

i mean lets just shorten the football field to 50 yards. lets just do half court nba, it makes no sense. i get 9 holes, b/c it's half but 13???

I agree. Why change a standard because millineals don't have the attention span to devote 4-5 hours to something. People's lives aren't any busier today than they've always been.
I'd rather just go to the range and practice vs only playing 6 holes.

I play half court basketball.
I use to play a 6 hole tract that was fun. Had 1 par 5, 1 par 4 and 4 par 3s. Took about an hour.
I enjoy my private club, but many people cannot afford it. I’m ok with more options being available for people to play some golf.

That is a par 3 13 hole course, seems fun
it will also be part of a complex of 3 18 hole courses.
