PXG discounting their Gen 5 equipment already.

PXG will go the way of founders club.

they started out as a supposed super premium brand and now they're discount stuff - pretty remarkable trajectory

I showed your manager at the Houston store this thread, you are getting fired tomorrow.

Just checked the site.. they're still 250 a club.. that ain't cheap..

That said, I hit the Gen 5's at the island this past Friday.. I liked them.. loft was a bit strong.. was hitting 7 iron nearly 200

I really never gave PXG a thought until I saw they were discounted. Purchased a full set about three weeks ago. The driver and three wood lasted all of one round before I traded them in at PGA superstore. I knew right away they weren't gonna work for me. The irons are very nice though. I did go with the gen 4's as the gen 5's were still at regular price. I would be pissed if I paid full price for a set of gen 5's and they are already discounted. I think their irons and putters are pretty good, but their drivers and woods are shite. I will say that when I picked mine up at the Atlanta store, the fed ex man was delivering about 30 sets of clubs that day.

They went from “We will only release a new product when we have game changing technology” at the beginning

To releasing 15 new iron lines in 3 years.

I suppose I understand why they’re doing it but to me they’ve totally lost any appeal they had over the last few years.

Is that a reason some won't buy their stuff at all, or just a reason to wait? It seems to me if the product is good, just wait a few months. This is coming from a guy who knows nothing about new clubs and how the market works, though.
