Kiva Dunes already sells a yardage book with green topography.

I love Kiva but avoid the trees at all cost. It is easy lo lose balls if you spray into the trees.

9 windows to hit

My nine windows:
1. Straight Pop up because I came into the ball too steep
2. Low runner because I topped it straight
3. Half swing punch straight because I’m off fairway
4. Push-combined with a fading fade because I’m on my toes; basically a shank
5. Weak slice because I try to steer the club
6. Leak to the right into hazard.
7. Hook.
8. Pull hook
9. Draw, but usually a double cross when I align to fade it.

These 9 windows occur at random during my rounds.
Essentially I focus on luck to help me survive.

First off, the course is beautiful and in amazing shape right now, fairways are georgeous. I played the blues last weekend and hit it a similar length to you perhaps a bit further.

On the par 5 5th, you can easily get driver to the sand dunes on the left or even the water behind it. This makes it a very demanding driving hole with driver and I don’t think it’s worth it. Not an easy hole to go for in 2 anyway. 2 hybrid to be safe off the tee is probably the play

9 is also less than driver off the tee as you lay up to water. 3 wood should be fine

15 is a tough second shot into par 5. Don’t miss right, long and short left are ok

Download the 18 birdies app and use it to set up your shots via landing spots, carry distances and projected approach shot distances.

3.4 isn’t bad by any stretch, but you really aren’t good enough to need to know anything more than what you can see from the blue tees. Not trying to be an arse, but just go play and enjoy yourself. You likely won’t be able to take advantage of any insider knowledge.

This is potentially true at KD from the blue tees, but he didn't know that before this thread. And there are a ton of golf courses you can learn bad places to miss that you didn't know from a thread like this. Not every course is as in front of you and obvious as KD is from the blue tees. For example, at KD from the tips, he could save a shot or two by using a thread like this to figure out the lines off the tee.

Well? Did you find the windows and use all your insider knowledge to win your $2 swing bet?

The wind dictates scores more there than anywhere down there I’ve ever played. Hard south crosswind +10 strokes. Good luck have fun

Yep. If the wind is up it’s a pretty tough track. If you can flight your irons, which you say you can, I think you’ll be in good shape.

Be wary of the fairway bunkers and keep the ball below the hole as much as you can. You will feel like you are playing at Kiawa this weekend too! Closest course I know that compares to this PGA championship venue. My guys group won't go back there because they said it was too hard!!

83 first day, 79 second and 78 third. Wind was up close to 20 each day. Greens were slick and many birdies were converted to bogey. course was beautiful. We wound up 3-2 and 1 tie. Lost overall by 2 holes. Great time and perfect weather ....sans wind
