Have any of you been there and played it? I talked my wife into going next year and want to get it booked before she changes her mind. Curious if it's worth it and would you go back?

It’s great and worth playing. Would recommend playing Top Of The Rock late afternoon, showers in the locker room and have dinner at the steakhouse there. Buffalo Ridge is also outstanding.

Went last year in May and it was cold. The course is beautiful and I’m definitely planning on making a return trip. There’s a massive snack shack on 7 I believe that has exclusive merch that they don’t sell anywhere else. So if you’re like me and buy shite from pro shop of nice course you play wait until then.
Bison dog is absolutely delicious as well
If you can play cliffhanger the par 3 course is try it out. Lotta weird holes and it looks like a blast..
Definitely get the photo and a cocktail on the 19th hole
Don’t dive the cart into the water

I played in a two day tournament at the resort this year.
Didn't get to play Payne's Valley but played Ozark National and Buffalo Ridge. Both were fantastic.
Pretty much everyone we talked to said Payne's Valley is great but most prefer Buffalo Ridge as the favorite of the three. The starter on BR said that everyone comes up there for Payne's Valley but everyone comes back because of Buffalo Ridge. I can believe it, it was beautiful.
There are numerous par 3 courses worth playing, not just Top of the Rock.

I've played it twice. It's fun! The fairways are lush and you won't have a bad lie.

Played it quite a few times and work there on Saturdays. Payne's is beautiful and is wider, more receptive off the tee, than Buffalo Ridge or Ozark's National. All three are impressive and everything is about the customer experience. Tee times are easier to get if you're staying at Big Cedar's property.
Cliffhanger is very enjoyable. Mountain Top is the walking par 3 and is a nice experience, if the weather is cooler.
Restaurant at Mountain Top provides a great view of Cliffhanger, Payne's Valley, and Mountain Top.
Personally, I've been working there since March and haven't run into a customer complaining about their experience yet.

Played there in April of this year. Place was immaculate. Got a discounted rate cause they had aerated 2 weeks before, but you couldn’t tell at all. Wish I could have played the other courses. Will definitely be back in the future
