You can't buy clubs for resale, that's always a losing proposition.
I quit my job mid-April of 2021 and have done this ever since. Specifically putters more than anything. The pandemic broke the used club market

Agree about the pandemic and used clubs.
There will always be a market for high end putters.

Not sure what this agreement does for his company Grindworks future.
Maybe I’ll try out that grindworks putter that is on every ad I see now

I don't believe it. They will be gone in two years.

If not gone, they’ll go back to OG business practices of making very expensive “premium” clubs with far less reach, but increased value.

No way do I see them gone.
The first couple of years the R&D were built into the clubs pricing and now the company has develop their sourcing and procurement avenues. Parson's has plenty of cash on hand.
They have had great success with their Clubs for Heroes campaign and they have a strong European presence. Their club tests are all over YouTube creating more brand awareness.
As far as pricing they are very competitive with the new Ping, Titleist, TM and Callaway offerings.
The new Pings are 1800.00 a set and the new Callaway Rouges at 1000.00 with the crap elevate shafts in them.
My Gen 4 irons came standard with the graphite MMT shafts which are 60.00 a piece in Golfworks alone. You can also get Steelfiber shafts in them.
Out of the box they came in with my exact specs on the nose with every club.

Cheatrick with another club deal? Hope he didn't piss off Grindworks cause he's running out of manufacturers. PXG must be desperate for any kind of pub they can get.

When they first came out, I thought the exact same thing. A couple of things have happened to make me think they’ll be around for a while. At least until Parsons dies if he doesn’t implement a sustainment plan.
Anyways, my first job out of college was with a computational modeling and engineering company. One of my buddies was a structural modeler at the time and he ended up leaving to go work for Ping. I’d say in around 2013.
We still communicate a good bit and he ended up leaving Ping to go be one of the lead Finite Element Modeler and club designer for PXG irons in early 2021. He is adamant that their sales are consistently meeting and often exceeding objectives.
And finally, anecdotally, the club I play at has a lot of good juniors and college golfers around and I see a lot of PXG equipment sprinkled in the bags. Especially irons and wedges.

I agree Doc.
When PXG hired Mike Nicholette from Ping it was a game changer for them.

This one:

PXG golf clubs are sold only direct by PXG
is what leads me to believe they will not last. This can be done, but I do not think it can be done by a premium product.

I'm not sure it is. My local golf club fitter/maker is one of the few places in the world that makes/assembles all their own clubs. They have access to all PXG club heads and shafts and keep inventory in house.

Great. More flat bills and 6 hour rounds with some white belts sprinkled in. Maybe they will do a commercial on how to rake traps, fix ball marks, and sand divots.
We need to get into the iron cover game

I understand what you are saying and I know PXG website says that but when I go to my custom shop they have all the PXG inventory available. Every clubhead, shaft, etc. I dont know if they have enough inventory to build 10 sets of clubs or 100 but I have seen the inventory myself. It seems like a contradiction but I'm sure there is some sort of "certified" dealer status or something that isn't clearly covered on the site. It makes no sense on the surface.

All I know is PXG pricing is not bad at all.
I have the 2019 0211 irons and wedges. I like them better than the 2017 M2s I had.
Their driver pricing is very reasonable.

Since 2019 they have priced new equipment competitively.
Initially PXGs were crazy expensive.
