Played Beaver Creek and Carter Plantation this weekend. Both courses fairways and greens were pristine. Only complaint was some bunkers were filled with water on both courses even though it hasn't rained in days. Shot 83 at Beaver and 82 at Carter with no birdies either round. Been in a birdie slump for like a month now

I went through that a few months ago. My putting went to shite, and as each round passed, my mental game got worse. I went back to not giving a shite and boom, birdies non-stop (well 1-2 a round which is nonstop for me )

Played in a Ryder cup type event this weekend. Our section of Reunion was challenged by another—8 guys playing for each team (each team also had 1 alternate). Uniforms designed with hats and different shirts for each day. Pairing party Friday night for first session Saturday.

Saturday morning session was an 18 hole 2-man four ball with first group going off at 8:00. My partner and I got a half point against a tough team (one scratch and the other a 4). Our team was up 2.5-1.5 after the morning session.

As soon as we got finished we set up pairings for afternoon session. Pairings were chosen by each captain in alternating fashion. Afternoon session was 9 holes modified alternate shot (both players hit drive and alt shot from there) followed by 9 holes 2-man scramble. We were paired against their best team (both scratch) and pulled out a half point again. Our team split that session 2-2 and had a 1 point lead going into individual matches Sunday. There were 9 individual matches Sunday (entire team played including the alternates from Saturday).

Our team had an up and down Sunday session and at one point we were down in all matches other than 1 tie. We scrapped back and ended up winning the session 5-4. I won my match 1up after 18 and we won the cup 9.5-7.5.

I can’t tell you how much fun it was. Looking forward to doing this again next year

Shot an 80 out at Bluejack National. The place is unbelievable, but to say it’s wide open would be an understatement. Greens are tough though.

That's in Montgomery TX? Is it open to the public? My grandmother lives in Bentwater which is technically in Montgomery. I would love to go play it. It looks nice.

Nope. Luckily I have a buddy who's a member. Been able to play about 5 times. The par 3 course is a blast.

Tiger's design deal was having people look for balls took too long. Speed up play.

1) Bring a range finder. I didn't have one the first time I played, and it screwed me on a few shots.

2) Get ready to hit at some long par 3's.

3) Show up hungry, the food is good in the club house. (or was)
