Why do you all argue dumb shite like this?

Because MCC members on here think their shite doesn’t stink and someone has to tell them they’re not getting a US Am with those pure power line and airline dr views. Lipstick on a pig.

Meanwhile this site will spend a week debating which one is better when 99% of the posters aren’t playing at either one.

Better than the, "what's y'all's mental process to make sure the ball is lined up in the center of the club face at address" or "do any of y’all use your arms in the putting stroke” threads

That might be a little harsh. Metairie is an awesome golf course. Squire is a good golf course too but there’s no possible way you can say MCC is bad.

People trying to shite on MCC are as misguided as it gets. shite on all the old frickers out there w a terrible attitude but the course is great right now.

Totally agree. It was pristine when I played it recently. Not that this is the case, but when you’re on an anonymous message board one has to wonder if some of these people bashing Metairie are people that can’t get in.

Squires got a great front 9 but the back is nothing special, with some pretty forgettable holes.

Ok I’ll ask. Which holes on the back are forgettable at Squire?

Pretty surprised at the MCC hate on here. Played it for the first time since the Reno a couple of weeks ago and thought it was fantastic. Played NOCC the same weekend and MCC was by far the better golf course

I haven’t played squire in a couple years, but from what I remember I’d still prefer Squire. No amount of golf architectural quality can make a flat Nola course next to a highway overcome Squires topography IMO

But the MCC architecture is fantastic and it’s absolutely getting national recognition

Well you have a group of posters here who still consider LaTour the pinnacle of golf in the United States.

I doubt the majority hating have ever played MCC.

I don’t think most are hating on MCC. I think most of the divide is someone saying MCC is better than squire. Pretty ridiculous statement. If squire was located anywhere near Nola it would be the best course by far. Squire is probably the best or one of the best in the state. Metairie is just one of the e best in the metro area. Which just isn’t saying much still but it’s still nice.

If you value golf architecture it's not a ridiculous statement at all. If you value topography, elevation change, surrounding scenery then yeah, squire's way better.
