How is top golf in BR doing? I've wanted to go since it opened, but haven't had a chance yet.

From what I’ve heard, very very well. Demand has leveled out but the opening and the months that followed was one of the best they’ve had, apparently. It’s doing just fine.

We went a couple weeks ago at around lunch time on a Saturday and had to wait 45 minutes. It's usually pretty busy when we go. We don't always have to wait, but there's always a crowd.

I still don’t understand the fascination with Top Golf.

The drinks are good, the food isn't bad, it's a fun place to hang out with friends that is different from just hitting up a bar. You can make it as fun as you want to and hit a few balls while you're at it

Let's people that don't like golf get to participate without going to the course or playing putt-putt.
Let's your bar fly/going out types drink beer and hang out with the group.
Combines the fun aspects of hanging out at a bar with getting to play a semi-physcial, semi-competitive game.
Let's avid golfers show off a bit and have fun hitting balls.

It's really the fact that it hits on so many cross-sections that make it a great concept.

Perfect assessment. It's something different. Do not go there and expect anything involving serious golf. Relax and have fun.

New design seems less likely to succeed, though it seems to cost less and not need the volume of customer.

Video screens don't have the tactile feel of being on the 3rd deck and hitting at the targets.

Also a good option on days like today when the weather sucks donkey dicks and you can’t even go to the driving range.

My buddies and I were already talking about the Augusta opening this morning. Yet another thing to look forward to for Masters week!
