Troon Golf is going to ruin Mystic Creek! Should be 125 weekend and 80 during week!

It is worth the trip. Not sure if it’s worth the price, but really nice courses are realizing their cost increases and passing those on to the players.

If you go, get the smoked hamburger @ Howell’s BBQ. That alone is worth the trip.

Yes, bring your A game. Play the correct tees. Don’t move up bc people say it’s hard. You’ll end up blasting it through doglegs.
They must’ve gone up on tee times. $175 is steep.

I didn’t believe you since I paid about $55 in the fall of 2020. Had to look it up… weekend times are $149 and weekday $129. No twilight.

It’s an awesome course but that’s a lot of money to go shoot 12 shots over my handicap.

The correct tees for most people are at least the third set of tees. That's still 6,700+, probably still too long for most people.

Correct. The 2 ups will be best for most people.

My point is, a lot of people give the advise of playing up form your normal distance, because the course is tough. Don’t do that. Play your normal tees.

I can typically drive the ball 315ish. I played the tips and it was pretty long.

Everyone should at least play one up from where they usually do. Don’t play the tips unless you’re scratch.

Going to play it on July 4th $149.00. It's about 2 hours from Bossier. I hope it's worth it, got to figure the $100 tank of gas too!

It's $149 Fri-Sun to walk, add $25 for a cart. Why this isn't spelled out on their website baffled me.

Played it in late May. Outstanding track and was in great shape. Toughest greens I’ve played in a long time, not because of speed alone, more for the slope.

Played second tees from tips and like others said, if you move up too much you will have to layup on tee shots. Just play the tees you normally play and go in with the mindset that you are going to get humbled on some if not many holes. I loved every minute and shot my highest score in a long time. Didn’t mind it at all. A second round will be better once you know where to play shots.

Soak up the challenge.

I think we paid $99. A freaking bargain for the quality.

Mystic is better than any Louisiana course, including Squire.

But $175? Hummmm…….not sure about that price

Mystic is on the golf now app. All tee times are either $149 on the weekends or if you get one of the hot deals you can get on for less than $100

It's a $150 golf course in a $5 location. We would drive up and back from the Ruston/Monroe area to play it, but at $150 tee time plus $4+ gas I wouldn't do that now if I still lived there.

Not $175. Like someone says below, $120 for weekend is normal.

Also, be warned there is nothing besides the course. Downtown has a few restaurants and bars. Very small town. The money there is from Murphy Oil and Gas. If you get a few guys to do the trip, can be really fun.

Only one course and north Louisiana courses are trash so if you go you’re likely playing this course 2-3x.
