quote:

Our testing showed that golf balls do not perform differently at different swing speeds – at least not to any significant degree. Balls that are fast at 115 MPH are fast at 85 MPH. The bottom line is that a short ball doesn’t become a long ball when swing speed decreases.

Launch and spin relationships don’t change much either. While there can be exceptions, a ball that’s low spin off the driver, is often low spin off a wedge. Speed doesn’t change that relationship either.

I switched from ProV to TP5 and noticed that I got a few more yards on all clubs but didn’t sacrifice anything on spin and feel.

What did you play prior?
What is greater about it?
What was the final reason for changing?

I've played ProV's since they came out. Dabbled with other balls but it's hard to replicate the performance of a ProV

I was playing the original Snell MTB for a while. It was pretty good. Would try other balls randomly but enjoyed the results and price of the MTB. Then I got a deal on the B330s and found they had a better feel so I stuck with those and their new version: the Tour BXS. But those spun too much for me off the tee. So I tried the X for the first time and fell in love. I don’t find them much “harder” with wedges or putter and can spin them plenty when needed. More consistent flight for me.

Tough to compare those though. You're talking about urethane vs non-urethane. FWIW, the Project A was as long as any ball I've played. If I really wanted to save money, it's the ball I would play.

Been playing the MTB Black for several months. Haven't tried the MTBx since it came out. Surprised by how well it tested. The MTB red sucked. Dean knows his shite

I like the TP5X more than the TP5, played the TP5 for almost a year before switching.

My biggest issue has been putting. I’m huge on pace off the face of a putter. I just can’t find a ball that gives me the same pace/pop/click off the strike as a ProV. The Bridgestone lineup has been just a hair to soft for me

ended up ordering a 96 bucket of the new Project As off lostgolfballs. im guessing it was me switching up my swing last time as the reason i lost distance. love how they feel on the green.

Bought a dozen of the MTB X because of the performance at high swing speed. The Callaway ERC soft’s results don’t surprise me. I hit some on a launch monitor and they consistently flew shorter than other balls.

Has anyone played these clear golf sports golf balls?

People are raving about them, they are a brand new start up, they are kind of pricey.

This Clear brand was apparently a super niche brand that didn't even sell to the public until recently, pretty wild, you had to have a clear Sports membership to even obtain this ball lol

quote:

ClearSports, the producer of the highly acclaimed Clear golf ball, is pleased to announce a limited release of its golf ball to the public for sale during the holiday season. The Clear golf ball is traditionally offered only to those who have undergone the application process to obtain a ClearSports membership. The decision comes after popular demand for the golf ball to be made available to the public.
