That announcement didn't bring up any new policies. LIV has been eligible for all of those things. Brooks was on the Ryder Cup and many LIV golfers played in the PGA Championship.

Yes, still a shame IMO. You go chase the money, it should come with consequences.

Because they’re not part of the PGA anymore.

Remember the USFL?

They’re not part of the PGA Tour.

The PGA and PGA Tour are completely separate entities.

Dealt with the Saudi’s off and on for a couple decades, know people behind this.

They have an ulterior motive, always do.

I’ve watched the PGA since the only TV we had was black and white. Hate seeing it torn apart, but just don’t see a way LIV doesn’t kill it. They’re slinging too much money around and a year, maybe 2 the PGA will cave and LIV players can play in regular PGA events, but it won’t be a 2-way street. At that point the PGA will fold because there won’t be a reason not to take the money.

You just don’t know who you’re really dealing with.

Wouldn’t you like to know that your precious PGA Tour guys, including Jay Monahan & Tiger Woods were negotiating with the PIF & Saudi princes in NYC on the anniversary of 9/11?

What consequences should they face for chasing $1B?

Negotiations still on going but the PGA Tour will gladly take the Saudi money

Probably, thinking they’ll keep their cushy jobs or get a big payout when they get the boot.

Make no mistake, if they take it out they’ll go. So best make sure they get the big payouts in writing.

There isn’t much the Saudi’s love more than control.

I don’t even know what you’re trying to say

Tiger Woods is getting kicked off the PGA Tour for making a deal with PIF?

If he goes to LIV that’s what would happen. At least until the PGA caves, which losing Tiger just might cause, even though he’s a shadow of his former self.

If it’s just a marketing or endorsement deal that would not be affected by any of the tour bylaws I’m aware of.
