So LIV lied about it being too hot and that the course was in bad shape.
What a trash outfit.
What a trash outfit.

What multi-year investment? Has it ever been stated that LIV will return to Louisiana after the now-cancelled tournament? Other than the trump courses and the greenbrier, LIV hasn't returned a second time to any of their US stops.

Let’s give LIV cucks Pirate and Jim a carrot. Their precious tour continues on in 2027 with some sucker ponying up some $$$. Where does it stand?
Ratings are atrocious
Players are jumping ship
They play shite courses
There is no team aspect, players come and go at random
Press releases and branding are full of typos, mistakes, etc
Haven’t signed anyone of relevance recently and no, Victor Perez doesn’t count
Seems awesome. Meanwhile, the lowly Zurich had great TV numbers, a cool story, and got mainstream attention.
I’m a golf nut, I wanted to like LIV. It’s awful. The players don’t really care, the $$$ is guaranteed, and everyone wants to tell you how great it is as you watch Paul Casey miss a green from 110 yards with Diplo blaring in the background. I’m good on that.

It was a coordinated statement agreed upon by LIV/Louisiana.
Link?
Just to clear things up Jim, you're saying that corrupt LA politicians in bed with the PGA pulled out of the LIV deal unilaterally, but also coordinated with LIV on messaging, which included shitting on the venue that the state is dumping millions into? That's your position in this thread?

The Zurich will be out of New Orleans after next year. That's how the schedule is trendinf

With only 2 top 30 players in its field the Zurich is soon going the way of LIV Golf NOLA.
I haven’t seen a link on those ratings, my guess is they sucked.

That’s cool for the PGA Tour. Are we gonna act like Anthony Kim didn’t win in Australia?

Yes…

It’s amazing the amount of BS people post here & they actually believe it. LIV has been trying to sign multi-year deals at most locations
They did Chicago for 3 years
They did multiple years at the Greenbriar
They’re returning to Indy & Michigan this year

Zurich is in New Orleans until 2030. The event might look different and in a different spot on the calendar, but it will be here.

The Zurich could pull out of that contract tomorrow if they wanted. Farmer's and Travelers both did the same thing.
I think PGA moving to larger cities is a terrible move but this is what's going to happen. Zurich will change their sponsorship to better golf course.in the NE or West Coast.

You sure about that?

Without question the best thing to happen with LIV was the AK win. Great redemption arc from drug addiction to winning.
Other than that the tour was complete shite. It's what happens when you get involved with some of the worst people in golf like Greg Norman and Phil.
Maybe LIV makes it through a few more lame duck events and finishes the season, but either way LIV is done

The Zurich this year was one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen and the actual attendance numbers were on par with LIV's worst events.

Ignoring your hyperbole, Zurich this year looked way better than any LIV events will in 2027 or beyond.

And; as expected, more confirmation from the source that money was not an issue for the 2026 New Orleans tournament and LIV is fully funded for the 2026 season.
