Rory is free to say what he wants but he bring criticism on himself then plays the victim card. Somehow he will become the victim soon again.

Talking about playing the victim card in a Bryson thread and you aren’t mentioning Bryson who is the biggest victim on the planet in his own mind

If it's in the area around your ball you walk on the opposite side and at least make the effort...

I think the penalty was warranted and Bryson overreacted. We will see if he continues to bring it up and play the victim. Last major of the year so not likely. Rory will address his comments in the playoffs at a time when Bryson can’t respond.

All I supplied were reasons why Bryson is hateable

Seems like the only players who thought he was cheating or committed an offense were Rory and his butt buddy Shane Lowry.

Cool. None of them matter, including Rory and Shane. Was it done intentionally, I don’t know. However, it was done, and it was called.

“Bryson is a lot of things, he’s not a cheater”

He certainly is a lot of things, Scotty.

It doesn’t matter if he is a cheater. He didn’t have to knowingly cause the infraction to be guilty. Just like building a stance in a bunker.

Correct. Idk why people are having a hard time with that.

While Scottie said he didn’t think Bryson is a cheater, he seems to agree with the call and thinks it should actually be called more often.

Cool of the R&A to go by the letter of the rule on Bryson but let 60 players go out in twosomes and take over 5 and a half hours to complete a round. It's in the rule book to enforce a two shot penalty for slow play as well.

Calling it 'the letter of the rule' like it was just some technicality is just wrong.

Any unbiased person should be able to watch that video and recognize exactly how intentional he was about improving his swing path, while trying to leave himself plausible deniability. Its an even worse look to go back out to the spot and stand there and argue like a petulant child.

Dude is a tool.

He's an engineer. Very quirky. Most NORMAL golfers judge their back swings in 1/4 increments. 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full. But Bryson knows the difference in a 9:45 and a 10 o'clock swing. Seems a little performative to me. I think he gained a lot of YT PR by doing the Break 59 with Trump. I haven't watched much of his content since.
